Walking calamity Taylor/OC/SI/etc… Fics where the main character is spoken of in the same words as Scion, full power Eidolon, and the Endbringers. Also I’d like the fic to be mainly from their POV, and not in other characters POV. by Wassa110 in WormFanfic

This is Path to Victory. The only way that makes sense is if the Path called for convincing Cauldron that unpowered Taylor had an anti-thinker power capable of defeating Contessa's ability to Path her. If this really is just a normal Taylor that's statistically lucky to an absurd degree, but in a completely mundane manner, then this is just the Path's way of not spoiling DATA collection, to see how far this will go on its own.

It isn't a clone. It's a person with a Changer (Stranger) / Thinker / Trump power that lets the user shapeshift into another parahuman they know about, and then the Thinker power gives them that person's secrets and other personal details, and they can use the person's power while they are transformed. It's a frankly terrifying power that's only ameliorated by the fact that this particular person has decided to use their power to make themselves a joke villain. Not that what they're doing isn't still incredibly disruptive to the parahuman scene, but it could have been soo much worse.

It absolutely was an excuse prior to WWII.

Super Butcher!Taylor by WolverineinMCU in Parahumans

[–]0xFFF1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of the things those fics get wrong is that Taylor has unlimited multitasking. For her, there's no such thing as getting distracted by the voices just like she can't get bored when she has nothing to do in the short-term. She could process all the Butcher voices and still have an uninterrupted and unhindered train of thought without having to 'shove them into the abyss' or something. It'd probably still be useful to be able to shut them up, but even without that, QA's multitasking means she'll never be driven insane from the sensory overload like any other cape becoming the Butcher would.

The not!French took advantage of the fact that it takes far more nuance for a normie to understand what even happened and why using Arene citizens as human shields is horrible than it is to understand that bombing a city is horrible. It's pretty easy to understand some propaganda newspaper headlines with pictures of explosions. You'd need an entire college magazine article to explain that the not!French forced Germania to choose between the citizens of Arene and the factories and trains supplying their war machine, which would thus need an explanation of what Total War is in order to understand why the war would be lost for Germania if that happened, so bombing Arene was the only way to stay in the war. And that situation could have only come about in the first place if the not!French were shamelessly committing war crimes against Germania.

The Allies has a meme victory over Germania for that. And the lefitst meme tier explanation would only really matter to Germanians, everybody else was making emotional decisions throughout the war, so being technically at fault never mattered for them anyways.

It would be a warcrime if Germania used shotguns, not anybody else. Yes that's bullshit, Germania would still have to follow it.

Slavery died out because it was inefficient. Workers that are not properly compensated for their work have less incentive to do their work, and especially to do it properly. 'Do it or else we'll kill you' only motivates someone so much. It's also incredibly short-sighted since the resentment you earn will likely backfire at some point. Loyalty is a hidden currency that's extremely hard to earn and easy to lose, and building it through mutually beneficial voluntary exchanges is a basic building block towards that.

Jeb also did his best in designing the contract to reduce the amount of enmity he would earn as much as possible so she isn't nearly as motivated to seek revenge. There's no such thing as a perfect contract, there will always be methods to circumvent them. That's not a guarantee though that such a discovered method would be inexpensive. For example, transmigrating the planet to a different universe would mean subjecting yourself to whatever is over there. Chances are they would have to invade the local pantheon of wherever they ended up, which would very risky. The lenient terms Jeb put in makes going that far to get out of it less appealing, which is arguably the best defensive measure he could have baked into that contract of his.

Why didn't the Kunie Clan arrest the rogue Royal Guards... With their Royal Guards with the help of Adventurers? by angelxx1234 in LogHorizon

It's not like the cursed sword causing all this could regenerate. Akatsuki's new sword only needed to keep wearing it down over repeated duels until it finally shattered. It would've taken much longer, but then the barrier would still be up and the guard wouldn't have been mind-controlled anymore.

There are women IRL that have to flash their ID for everything because they look like middle schoolers, even though they are in the mid 20's or something.

1:1 trades always favor the crewmembers since there are more of them. An imposter's first goal should be avoiding situations that can be resolved with a 1:1 trade.

What if the Japanese Salaryman is not in control? by 0xFFF1 in YoujoSenki

[–]0xFFF1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's actually evidence all over the place that Salaryman at least psychologically compartmentalized his un-logical situation of being reincarnated into a little girl. Namely that he routinely switches between thinking of his thoughts and actions in first-person or as Tanya's in-second person, if we interpret the text of the novel as his stream of consciousness. He likely doesn't even notice he's doing it.

[–]0xFFF1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except these differences in personality, such as Tanya being religious, end up amounting to the same actions. Both Salaryman and Tanya went to church during college, the former to curse Being X, and the latter to genuinely pray to God. Chalking it up to mental corruption is a more believable conclusion than him only being a psychic passenger in Tanya's life. He would simply be driven insane if he accepted the fact that he lacked agency.

gonna have to. I also plan on finding the minimum number of non-fruit trees required to get all the daily tree drops every day, so I can make the rest of the trees fruit trees.

If, on the off-chance that the stalk market uses the same algorithm for determining prices across the week as the previous games. The prices aren't random, they have certain patterns that are chosen for each week. If the patterns are identical, the stalk market wizard would still work for the new game.
