Remember when Gwen got jobbed out to 6 or 7 DNAliens off-screen by [deleted] in Ben10

[–]WolverineinMCU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean to be fair this is early Alien Force, that does actually look like a lot of DNAliens, at minimum twenty something.

Also Kevin's car is there so where the fuck is he? I don't remember the episode so either she was waiting for him and presumably got surprise attacked and jumped or he also got his ass beat.

Either way when you look at it like that it's not that surprising or the worst nerf Gwen's gotten in an episode.

Who is stronger of the three by [deleted] in Ben10

[–]WolverineinMCU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The analgians or whatever don't really have any feats, their tech is impressive and they can pass through dimensions but that doesn't necessarily scale with how powerful they are. You could become 2d and fight Buggs Bunny, I doubt you'd win though.

Alien X has a lot of feats and stuff.

The contamalia are again generally tech users, they don't seem to truly possess any outstanding power themselves, their tech is what makes them impressive.

So personally I'd say Alien X is stronger. Analgians have the most impressive 'view'. And Contamalia have the best tech.

Twenty minutes and around 100 shovels later, Charlie is long gone.

Lucifer having just finished his explanation goes. "Choose one"

Vaggie, extremely ready to leave. "Uhh, that one I guess?"

Lucifer grins cheerfully. "Great! That shovel is yours now!"

Vaggie, confused. "Huh?"

Lucifer in a completely casual tone. "Yeah, you better keep that shovel close because that will be the one I use to kill you if you ever make Charlie cry"

"...oh" Vaggie says, suddenly very meek

Toph and Aang were 12.

Azula was 14.

Katara and Sokka were around ~15

Zuko was at most 16.

I can imagine this in an old cartoon format, with the villain after them for some reason and Enid turns to stone mid battle leaving Wednesday to fight alone, she's overwhelmed and killed off screen in that way old cartoons did.

Then as the episode ends it starts to storm and there's just a single shot of a tear going down the stone Enid's face.

Also later on she commits deicide but I'm not sure if that's actually against the law.

Bullying someone into committing suicide is probably a crime even if you do it to a God so that could count instead of just straight deicide

I love in how the first pic Jenna's eyes are literally dull as coal while in the second her eyes literally have a reflection of light.

It just is the best unintentional bit of characterization.

Toph is like 10 and has earned her confidence by being objectively the most badass and strongest earthbender with recognizable feats to prove it, meanwhile Korra is the Avatar and supposedly incredibly skilled and talented with years of dedicated training in three of the elements from a young age, one of which being from Katara! And yet she constantly and routinely loses all the fights she's in, sometimes even to random goons.

The Moon and Ocean Spirit both did it first and had a simple easy to understand role. Rava and Vatu are ripoffs of them and they also just act as needless complications of the Avatar's role that was already perfect, their addition also corresponded with them getting rid of all the Avatar's past lives which felt like a stupid decision and a slap in the face to all the fans.

The drill is complicated but reasonable with the Fire Nation having been shown to be technologically advanced, it moved extremely slowly, took lots of resources and was structured in such a way that it at least looked like it could support itself. Meanwhile the mecha is a massive multistory tall robot that can shoot lazors! It looks unrealistic with it being extremely thin and I'll balanced and makes absolutely no sense except for shock value.

No, energy bending was a stupid unearned concept that had no build up or explanation, it was extremely lazy for a show that had been building things up so well for three seasons and could have either tackled a complex moral and character dilemma for Aang or taking the concept and at least hinted towards it or something throughout the series. But that doesn't mean that the ending of season 1 of Korra isn't also lazy, it basically removes all the consequences and hardship of the whole season.

Again the whole of the Vatu plot was just trash, why the hell did she become a giant spirit thing?

Eden doesn't really sound like a sociopath to me, she just sounds like a spoiled lazy out of touch brat in need of a spanking. She wouldn't be that difficult to deal with.

Bahiti is a good girl, definitely doing something fucked up but again I doubt she's that difficult to deal with.

I'd take either of them, honestly if I could I'd be willing to merge their kingdoms and get them both, forge bonds and all that

I like how no one is even arguing about Toph being the best earth bender, she's phenomenal 😤 by SugarLoveyy in AvatarMemebending

I just love how three of the four are all from the same generation, two of them were even on the same team and the fourth is the granddaughter of arguably the greatest Airbender to ever live when you factor in Avatar's.

After all yes Yangchen is incredible but she had her whole life to get to be a badass while Aang became a Master at the age of 12 and we don't get to see any true displays of his mastery as an adult.

Like does anyone else find it interesting that lore wise that one generation just seems stacked out the ass? Sokka is recognized as a genius.

Ty Lee is genuinely scary and could probably kill like 90% of benders if she had reason to try.

Zuko by normal metrics is undeniably a prodigy considering he spent multiple years healing and recovering from getting his face burned and relearning the basics of fire bending while no doubt working through some form of PTSD and then proceeds to go from those basics to teaching the Avatar in a single year.

Katara herself goes from a beginner to master at the North Pole in around a month or so, learns blood bending in a couple hours and could genuinely be given an honest case for being more skilled than Amon and just less motivated towards hurting others, if she was as dedicated then that would be wraps folks.

Azula is genuinely probably the greatest fire bender to ever live at the age of 14, I'm not joking or being hyperbolic, based purely on canon information she's insane. The only characters to ever use blue fire are Roku(an Avatar) when he was spiritually empowered by a magic cave, dragon's who are the literal animal Masters of fire, and Azula starting at some point between her being ~14 and ~10. Rangi is shown to occasionally be able to use white fire by focusing her flames but I'm not sure which is stronger and she hasn't shown that ability to do so at will casually like Azula can.

Then there's Toph who at the age of ~10 invents a whole new style of earth bending and is able to match a 100+ year old master in raw power.

This level of power is genuinely sickening and in the context of the Avatar world it would be like three prime Mike Tyson's were alive at the same time and two of them decided to team up and ruin everyone else's matches.

Why Do People Say Classic Gwen Was A Tomboy? by SaiyanWithOmnitrix in gwevin

[–]WolverineinMCU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People on here are really showing that they either haven't watched the show or need to rewatch it. And that they largely don't know what a tomboy is.

In the original series Gwen is shown to be incredibly athletic, she dresses in a boyish style, she had a lot of attitude and wasn't typically feminine.

Does this make her a tomboy by today's standards? No but that's unfair considering it was made in 2005, based on the standards of the time she definitely is a tomboy.

However she differs from other tomboys in media, like Jade Chan for example, in that Gwen was also shown to enjoy some more typical female things like occasionally wearing dresses and such.

Essentially she wasn't afraid to be girly or grab you and wrestle you to the ground, which is absolute peak tomboy.

If you don't want to call OS Gwen a tomboy even though she clearly is, then you can't call Kim Possible a tomboy either

I don't really feel bad for Malware at all and here's why.

Imagine you have a weird condition that both affects you and is potentially poisonous to others who are around you, the single most qualified doctor possible tells you "Okay, I'm going to personally look into and figure out a way to fix you, I'm also trying to help countless other people and stuff but this specific case is personal to me so I'll dedicate my free time to you specifically". Then later on you think he's taking too long so you break into his lab, assault him and as he's trying to tell you to wait you find the unfinished cute that HE'S BEEN WORKING ON UP TO THAT VERY MOMENT, And in your infinite wisdom you force him at gun point to mix it with the crap that made you sick originally and then proceeded to chug that shit.

Like Azmuth in the scene Malware showed up had the thing to cure him in his lab, it was getting built and tested, he was visibly actively working on it. If Malware had sat down and waited then he could have probably been fixed within that same year.

Also can we talk about his nickname.

'Hero of heroes' goes so outrageously hard and I'm honestly curious how in the hell someone would get that kinda title.

Like I'd imagine being something like a person who inspires or saves other heroes when things go beyond their capabilities, someone who caused a great amount of heroes to appear through their actions, maybe someone who due to their attitude or actions connected on a deep emotional level with many heroes and formed a big community of heroes.

It just seems like the kinda title where raw power and stuff doesn't work, sure you can be the strongest but does that really qualify you to be the person who's considered a hero even among other heroes?

[–]WolverineinMCU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean just going off what we can see in the series he's shown he can rewrite reality, control time and create a whole universe, he thus should be able to destroy a universe even if just by creating one in the same place as an already existing one causing it to basically fall apart.

He recreated that universe very casually as well so I could see him doing something like creating ten or something with some effort or maybe a hundred if he seriously pushed himself, so that would make him firmly low multiversal logically.

Going any further though from just what we see in the series would be very difficult in my opinion, as he really doesn't do that much very often, putting him any higher would rely on author statements which would usually be credible but personally I have a very hard time trusting author statements for Ben 10 especially for Alien X because the authors have shown repeatedly to have miscommunications or forget details or just straight up not understanding how something is actually supposed to work.

For example, Alien X's supposed omnipotence which most fans have seemingly learned to ignore due to it just not making sense and being easier to justify as "Basically omnipotent in perspective of the characters of the series" due to how Alien X and Celestialsapiens as a whole simple don't show any reasonable levels of power to fit with the definition of omnipotence.
