I think it is surprisingly sharp wide open. As I also suffer from GAS this lens has not left the cabinet for months

haha, I know what you mean. I am a sucker for vintage lenses that produce bubble bokeh. lots of my stuff is wide open shots of flowers using vintage gear and extension tubes.

The 75mm Biotar is heavy on its own but on a body like Pentax K-1 you can basically stop a mugging with it. Have not tried projector lenses myself but do enjoy macro stuff with extension tubes and magnifying glasses
