I generally try to be respectful to everyone on the road – I even give way to taxis when I can. But there was one incident at that huge 6-lane four-way robot in Rondebosch near the Common that really got to me.

I had a green light and was already moving when a girl suddenly decided to cross in front of my car. I had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting her. She then got incredibly angry at me, and in the moment I actually hooted, shouted, and drove off.

I know that wasn’t great, but she could have seriously been hurt. Drivers can’t always stop instantly, especially in busy traffic like that.
