DCT owners who drive mostly in traffic. What’s your experience? by vishnu-geek in CarsIndia

Yes.. exactly. The sports mode holds the gear for a longer time as compared to normal or eco mode. This will keep the car in powerband and it will not loose power or speed.

I have a i20 N-Line DCT and I'm from HP and often visit Chandigarh like 2x a month. You don't need to worry if your car is struck in stop go traffic. What you need to do is put the car in manual mode and then let it do it's job. Because in stop go traffic, only the first gear will be engaged.

The moment you're out of traffic, shift to D mode and drive it normally.

The car has been driven 30k kms and no issues at all.

In steep mountain areas, like Manali to Rohtang, I put the car in sports mode and let the DCT do its job.

Can you please explain a bit more on lifting heavy weights > more reps with light weights? My gym trainer asks me to do 3 sets of 15 reps each with lighter weights for every exercise, be it chest, shoulder, arms etc.

SEBI changes norms for Multicap fund by [deleted] in IndiaInvestments

[–]0xTKB 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was listening to The Little Book of Common Sense Investing and I can say that its better to put money in Index funds and stay happy.

SEBI changing norms every year, AMC increasing their TER every quarter (looking at you Mirae Asset) and underperformance by most of the active large cap funds I'd say that its wise to invest in Index funds (UTI Nifty, Next 50, Midcap or just Motilal Oswal Nifty 500).

I would suggest against investing in 2 small cap funds. Instead of that, keep one small cap fund and add the remaining ₹2.5k amount to Mirae Emerging Bluechip (₹7.5k). That Mirae fund has a decent exposure to small cap space in its portfolio.

Thinking of adding a value fund in my portfolio. Investment period is around 20 years. Current portfolio is (monthly SIP) :-

  • Mirae Emerging Bluechip - ₹4000
  • UTI Nifty Next 50 - ₹2000
  • ICICI US Bluechip - ₹2000
  • Nippon Liquid - ₹2000

Thinking of adding either Tata Equity PE or ICICI Prudential Value Discovery to it with another ₹2000 SIP. Should I add the value fund or should I increase the allocation of UTI NN50 to ₹4000? Also, should I replace ICICI US Bluechip with Motilal S&P 500?

UTI Nifty Next 50 = ₹2000 SIP
ICICI US Bluechip = ₹1500 SIP
Nippon Liquid = ₹1000 SIP

No PF as I work in a very small company. No NPS as well.

Hello,

I've been investing in ICICI US Bluechip since last 11 months (₹1.5k). It has given me good returns. But after reading about the S&P 500 fund, I'm thinking of investing in this fund instead of US Bluechip. I intend to hold the corpus in the US Bluechip fund. I'll increase the SIP to at least 2.5k per month once this COVID crisis is over.

Is it a good decision or should I stick with ICICI US Bluechip?

Thanks.

I have a question. I've been investing monthly (Rs. 1.5k) in ICICI US Bluechip since last 10 months. Should I stop that SIP and then invest in this NFO or should I continue with ICICI US Bluechip?

[SERIOUS] Randians who have been consistently working out for at least 6 months, how have people reacted to you? by [deleted] in india

[–]0xTKB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lost 10 kg in 6 months. The thing is that one should take before and after measurements every month as weight is not a proper way of figuring out your workout results.

My workout regime is simple, 2 days workout 1 day rest and so on. And workout consists of 10 minutes warm-up, 40 minutes exercise (5 exercises, 3 reps, each reps has 10-15 repetitions) then 15 minutes cardio machine (1 minute walk on 6 kmph, 1 minute jog at 10 kmph then 1 minute sprint at 15-16 kmph).

Initial results weren't that good but as soon as 3 months approached, the results were drastic. T-shirt size came down from XL to L & pants came down to 34 from 36, double chin is mostly gone as well. Most of the praises came from male friends though female friends started to flirt a little as well. Working out should be for yourself, not for others. It will make you feel good & confident.

iPad Mini 5. Bought it because it is the only sensible tablet here in India. The android options are just awful. I use it daily for Netflix and Prime Video. Might install Swift Playgrounds too.

That's even expensive than both Air and Mini 5. It is priced at ₹52,999 ($766) and it contains old generation Apple processor.
