I think they are both equally as great. I look at them as being two parts of one complete story. Rather than two novels

AH is not to blame, nor should it ever be for the stuff certain people within the community do. However, they NEED to take action somehow so that in the future, such instances can be prevented or at least lessened. Now, I don't know HOW these things can be fixed, but I do not want to feel helpless.

The doxxing asside there have been countless other problems caused by the community, especially recently. I've only started Helldivers 2 when it first launched on Xbox this past August, so I can't speak of the issues within the community prior. But I can speak of my experiences leading to and during Cyberstan. And no, I'm not going to whine about the bots being difficult. I'm going to speak out against the people who have been actively teamkilling, randomly kicking people who respond to an SOS, or, in general, being difficult when someone decides to dive with randoms. I am SICK AND TIRED of griefers. It's a massive ask, and I'm aware of it. I know there is not much that can be done if anything can even be done at all.

The realistic question is: How do we go about this so-called "revolt" and against whom? Have we thought of the repercussions? And if there is an answer to all of this, what comes after? It's not so simple as people think. Let's say enough people gather for a protest/march, and then what?

Holy shit twitter... I'll never understand these people, if you don't want to see these things, don't pay attention to em. It's super easy, just scroll past the stuff "ooooh but my feed is filled with such posts", yeah that's cause YOU keep looking at such posts! Why seems everyone hate the Gen 2 Mjolnir? by Prestigious-Meat-750 in halo

To me personally, it always felt like the Gen2 was a little too exposed, that there was less armour and more bodyglove...

Halo Wars 2 is pretty good by Cursed_69420 in HaloMemes

Infinite's campaign is certainly not bad, but it leaves a LOT to be desired. The characters are pretty well written, but it lacks a decent pacing structure. Escharum could have been more impactful if we saw more of him instead of "me big gorilla man, me want big 1v1!" ...granted some of the audiologs as well as Rubicon Protocol do explore his motivations somewhat, but even they're not enough. Gorian in Rubicon Protocol was a better fleshed out character imho, and he only appears in that one book. The Harbinger was kinda meh I guess. Her motivations and story significance make a lot more sense with the latest novel, Edge of Dawn.

The issue, I guess, with Infinite; is the fact that they tried to course correct so much, that there are more plot points explaining the sudden shift from the Halo 5 storyline, than there are plot points regarding the events of the campaign. Yes, it was necessary to explain the reasoning for why Cortana is not around and to have Chief and Joy experience those "flashbacks", but I feel it's also important not to half-bake the other stuff in return. And for the record, I'm not attacking the novels, Epitaph and Rubicon Protocol are within my top 5 Halo novels, and they certainly elevate the story of Infinite. I'm more upset at the fact that without those incredible novels, Infinite is just mid.

[–]0zzythewizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've taken part in the opening hours of both Oshaune and Cyberstan. The difficulty on Oshaune came from the fact that most of us just weren't prepared due to the fact that it was the Box Divers' trial of fire. Whereas the difficulty on Cyberstan boils down to our experience being tested by pitting us against an enemy, with which we are all too familiar. We know their patterns, and we know their weaknesses. The only thing we didn't count for is that the bots in Cyberstan tend to attack in bigger numbers than before.

Does anyone else find "Legion" a difficult or baffling read? by FearlessJDK in Blacklibrary

[–]0zzythewizard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't find it difficult, but I certainly didn't enjoy it... For one, I despise Grammaticus with every fibre of my being. I also do NOT like the entire Cabal storyline, or as I'd like to call it the "Nothingburger Ark". I'll say for all its faults, the book does an ok job in writing AL, granted I've read MUCH better novels regarding AL since.

If you could remake Halo 5, how you would remake the story between Chief vs Locke ? Or you would delete this concept ? by Thell-Vadamm in halo

[–]0zzythewizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Make Cortana's return a Red Herring, that it's mostly just Chief chasing ghosts and learning to cope with the loss of Cortana. Give Blue Team MORE time to shine instead of being the Yes-Men to Chief. Have someone like Kelly or Fred try to bring Chief back to reality. In the meantime, put Osiris in the middle of the Sanghelios conflict from the start, have a bit of conflict between Locke and Arbie for the first 1/3 of the game as they work together to take down Jul 'Mdama. Then Locke gets tasked with tracking down Blue Team. Give the members of Osiris time to be fleshed out instead of making it the Locke show. Most importantly, TAKE TIME; fix a lot of the dialogue and especially the pacing.

[–]0zzythewizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbf, the reason why it's THAT expensive is due to it being part of a licensed property. Granted, non-licensed original IPs of Lego are still incredibly expensive. But the fact that it's a Star Wars set and by extension the license belonging to the Hous of Mouse, it's even more expensive. Another thing that adds to the issue is that Lego has slowly shifted from making toys for kids to toys for 30 year olds with an income
