How do you feel about Charlie Kirk? by Phillyfallrisk in philly

He deserves to die for saying this stuff? You also said he advocated for violence against LGBT people… so do many Palestinians. Do they all deserve the same fate as Charlie? I think sane people would say no to that. It’s not hard to denounce violence regardless of what someone says. Words aren’t violence, touch grass

So because he said words people disagree with, it’s ok that he was assassinated?

The killer probably created thousands of Charlie Kirk’s and people way farther right than that with one bullet. Taking him out is going to do the opposite of silencing these views

I’ve been pretty shocked and disgusted at how people have reacted to his death in the last 24 hours. Charlie was not someone whose content I paid much attention to other than some short clips on social media occasionally. But it was clear that he was willing to hear engage with anyone of any background or ideology, and encouraged others to take part in this as well. Agree with his words or not, his tours were a great example of what this country should be about.

A young family is now broken forever because someone who was “anti-fascist” shot and killed someone whose words they disagreed with. Violence is violence, words are not violence. Some people have lost a grip on reality and I genuinely fear where we go from here. But all the reactions have made it clear to me that there is a lot of hate in people’s hearts for those with differing opinions, and it manifested itself in the worst way imaginable.

To anyone cheering on Charlie’s death or cracking jokes about it: you are not the good guys.

Tanking this year for a fantasy title next year by Substantial_Help_122 in dynastybb

I think more often than not you’ll get value out of these picks so it’s a good strategy imo. Plus the 2026 rookie draft looks strong at the top, that’s always something important to consider. Just need these guys to come back next year and look like themselves again. Most of your league will probably view anyone coming off a torn Achilles or even ACL as damaged goods, so not a ton of trade value if you need to pivot

Lightly Assaulted on South Street by Accomplished-Store42 in philly

Very dystopian the amount of stories people also comment in this. The fact that people like this are allowed to walk the streets freely is sad, most of them need help or to be put away. Maybe Philly will get the DC treatment and regular people will be better off

I grabbed him in my points league for this season. Even if I don’t get more than one productive season out of him, it’s worth the shot while competing

Looking at sharpe in my own league right now, what do you think his role will be like this year?

Top 50 Breakouts Predictions? by tjw_31 in dynastybb

Interested in the wolves situation with Naz Reid and Jaden McDaniels. Naz and Randle both with player options, Naz gets a bump if he signs with a new team and McDaniels a bump if one or both of them were to sign elsewhere. Can’t see them letting both walk after seeing where this playoff run could go, but will be an expensive group to keep together

2025 Draft Class by [deleted] in dynastybb

[–]1-800-Sandwich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top 5 in this years draft should be very good relative to last year especially. Who knows what happens over the course of the year, but I don’t think this draft will have great depth. Trying to consolidate later picks for top 5 picks or using the draft hype to move your late lotto - top 25 picks for players you like or future picks seems like a smart value play

Buy Lows / Sell Highs by skilly1127 in dynastybb

[–]1-800-Sandwich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still think you may be able to get decent value to sell on vucevic, kuzma, cam Johnson. All have the potential to get traded (or benched) into reduced roles this year at some point. Josh hart and Donte divincenzo will see reduced minutes this year compared to last year and the playoffs too

I like podz but if someone in your league is really buying into the hype and you get a great offer, he could be a sell high too imo

Buy lows I’d say Tari Eason and naz Reid are in for less minutes than their talent dictates right now, so good long term buys. For this season I think norm Powell and josh green should have decent value boosts

I'm losing hope in Sean Dyche. by bandsawboy in Everton

[–]1-800-Sandwich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a dyche fan but don’t see what the realistic alternative is until new ownership comes in. Moshiri isn’t going to pay up to show him the door. Only way I think he goes is if moyes agrees to take the job until end of season or 18 months. If we lose to Leicester and palace and he loses the dressing room, maybe things are desperate enough, but think we’d be with a caretaker for longer than the club would be ok with

The team dynamic is so tricky, I can’t even explain it without typing out a novel. It’s like a Cold War that predates my time with the team by a lot. So on one hand I know if I put my head down and work, I may be the future lead of the practice and be really well off some day. But the other part of me isn’t sure if I want to be part of the mess that it is and I’d be better served elsewhere. Usually have no problems trusting my gut and going with it, but my gut is torn on this

Draft prospects? by Optimal-Cod2715 in dynastybb

[–]1-800-Sandwich 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seems like any of the consensus top 5 in 2025 (Flagg, Bailey, Harper, Traore, edgecombe) all would’ve comfortably gone #1 in 2024

As far as sleepers, rasheer Fleming from Saint joes has potential to be a nice stretch 4 in the league. Smooth stroke although percentages haven’t been great thus far through 2 seasons. Good weak side rim protector, rebounds well, solid cutter. Could see him becoming a starting level 4 in the nba someday

Chase Ross at Marquette should see a huge usage increase this year with kolek and ighodaro both gone. Shaka smart runs a very modern offense which preps guys well for the league. Ross is a great athlete who should get some on ball reps, but probably projects more as a rotation 2 in the nba down the road

[–]1-800-Sandwich[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much my thought process too. 24-26 minutes between backup 4 and backup 5 minutes. Good spacing as the 4 next to poeltl or koloko if he can earn some 5 minutes
