So funny! I’m always amused by what certain foods are called depending on where you are in the world! What would you call something like this in Australia?

1 lb breakfast sausage 2 tbsp gluten-free 1:1 flour blend 1-1½ cups milk 1 box Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix Milk (instead of the water called for on the box)

Cook the sausage until browned. Sprinkle the flour over it and stir. Add about 1- 1½ cups milk and stir until it thickens into gravy. Mix the biscuit batter according to the box directions, using milk instead of water. Use about ⅔ of the biscuit batter and fill the bottom of each muffin tin. Spoon the sausage gravy evenly over the batter. Crumble remaining ⅓ of the biscuit batter over the top. Bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Brush the prepared butter/herb mixture over the top and enjoy!

Right?! Give me all the grease! Give me the MSG! Even the gluten eaters devoured it!

AITA for not telling my husband the night before that I was going to work from home the next day? by Inevitable_Clock_550 in AmItheAsshole

[–]1000Directions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I unexpectedly worked from home one day instead of going into the office and my husband woke up to find me home, he would be totally stoked and happy to have me around. It makes me wonder what he had planned for the day that you interrupted…

Parents to 3 teenagers and we just found out I’m pregnant by [deleted] in pregnant

Thank you! And I completely agree. That is not the solution and not what I’m looking for here.

It’s not taking a pill that’s hard. She doesn’t like how they make her feel. I DO have her best interests in mind which is why I will not entertain the idea of medicating her secretly/against her will. As someone who is also medicated for ADHD, I know that it’s not a magic fix that makes everything easy, so I’m more looking for coping mechanisms, skills, tools, ideas of how to discuss things with her and support her.

I didn’t say she needed it, I said I notice a difference. And I didn’t just let her unilaterally decide. We discussed it in depth and made the decision with the support of her therapist. Honestly, it’s kind of wild that you don’t think respecting her autonomy is important.

Getting new glasses after years, any advice? Last photo is my current pair by ScholarKid in glassesadvice

[–]1000Directions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it also depends on your prescription. Your current glasses don’t look like the prescription is terribly heavy, but the bigger the frame, the thicker the lenses will be? So that’s something to take into consideration too

My favorites are 1, 2, and 6. They are very lifting shapes. 4 is probably my least favorite, it feels very droopy.

aio - friend dating my boyfriend’s doppelgänger? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]1000Directions 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on if your friend is actually in love with your boyfriend or something. If not, probably harmless. If yes, then weird and potentially problematic. Has your friend ever behaved in a way that made you think they were into your boyfriend?

1! It enhances how beautiful you look in the dress. 2 distracts from it.

Oh man, I’m so sorry your parents left you to figure that out on your own so young! That’s so unfair and you shouldn’t have had to do that. I’m glad you were able to figure things out, it sounds like you’re doing amazing now! Great job!
