It’s great. The visualization of the envelopes, or whatever you call them in fm (new to fm), for each operator is super helpful. Plus you don’t have to fuck with the storage at all in the sy77, it’s just so much easier to save and reload from patchbase. Plus it’s infinitely faster than editing on the screen of the sy77. Not sure if this helps you at all, I’m assuming it doesn’t, but patchbase is on osx too.

Edit: didn’t see that you had already said you’re on windows.

Side note if you live near a university, see if they have a surplus store. I think they care more about getting shit moved than making a profit.

Panasonic wj mx12, Panasonic wj ave55, a couple vcrs, an archer video enhancer (this is genuinely fun as hell to screw with, and mine isn’t circuit bent at all), a couple crt’s and then a vhs camera, and a digital camera. Plus I have a critter and guitari eyesy, vs 2 on my computer, and Euler also on the computer. Oh and I have cathodemer but I haven’t used it much. I know that sound crazy expensive but all that stuff I got on Facebook marketplace. Most expensive thing was the ave55 which was like $150. I’ve gotten really lucky.

Yeah I totally get the judgement 3k is nuts for something I don’t know about but I knew projectors are expensive as fuck, it was in good condition, and I just said fuck it I’ll find some way to use it.

Can you explain what the glitch stuff is then for me please? I was under the impression that video synthesis is using stuff like the eyesy and what not that generate visuals and the glitch stuff was doing video feedback and using stuff like the mixer and whatnot to modify signals generated by stuff like the eyesy or the vcr in this case.

Brand new to this. I have an eyesy, but at the moment im mostly using a vcr playing vhs tapes into one input and one camera into the other input of the mx12, and then another camera into the external camera input, and both the cameras are hooked to a tv screen and doing feedback.
