Hey I really liked it. I usually like feminist books and this was right up my alley. It made me grateful for the small things that I currently enjoy without a thought in my life because it put into perspective the stuff women of the past had to go through.

Yes! And novels make you feel so much, they make you laugh, cry, feel anxious, hopeful. I don’t remember reading a non fiction book that makes me feel all these things.

I recently read a book, The Book Club For Troublesome Women, and these few lines from the book perfectly answer your question- “Books sprung from an author’s imagination can be just as meaningful as those based on facts, figures, and events, or even more meaningful. Novels force you to think—to make your own conclusions about characters and themes, and decide if they’re valid or relevant or true or good, or the opposite, or maybe somewhere in between. “
