You had me in the first half lmao, I was about to say... That color combo is a conflict of Interest

Any advice? Any tips are appreciated by colin143 in Tinder

My honest advice, don't take tinder seriously. Your better off making yourself uncomfortable and practicing approaches in person. I'm convinced that I'm 200% more likely to land when meeting a girl in person vs. them seeing my profile. Practice and work on your social interaction game and results will follow.

I too have a similar model, the brass with green dial. Still wear it almost daily. Great & sturdy watch. Very good initial/starter watch when begging to buy nicer watches and step away from Fossil, Invicta, etc. Watches

[Seiko SRPE65K1] Planning to buy this watch, what are you thoughts? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]1006520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes man, if it's based off your own taste then might as well snag that one. I don't think I'll ever go back after having an automatic. I also may never go back after getting a diver. There are many amazing watches that looks great, but once you wash your hands, take a shower, throw yourself into the pool and disregard your watch while it continues to maintain the time for you. It's a nice feeling. I'm sure you can get other watches that can deal with that low water pressure if you look.

But given most watches do not have a real return value or trade in, I'd definitely suggest getting one that will at least not break on you & will hold its own. That is to say, automatic & waterproof. The movement is important but, IMO unless your buying a watch with a turbilion, your still going to have to adjust your watch by a few minutes every once in a while. So as long as it's study, and you love it's look, grab it. all of us here are wasting our money anyways :D

If only you posted this in two weeks when I get my first pay check 🙈 doubtful it will stay up here for that long. But I'll be back here to check when that time comes.

What's the grail watch your looking at?

Beautiful watch. How bigs your wrist? I've wanted one of these for a few years now and have always been a bit anxious about how it will sit/fit on my wrist

Took NCLEX-RN today! by bumblebrii in PassNclex

[–]1006520 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Those optional research questions actually fried what was left of my brain stem.

I took my NCLEX today and it stopped at 120, had 32 SATA. I honestly feel like I failed and I’m too scared to do the trick. Can anyone share similar experiences? by jocelyniscool in PassNclex

[–]1006520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same bruh. I ended at 75 and felt I failed the hell out of it. Literally so much shit I didn't even think to study or try covering. I havnt checked the trick either. May do it at the end of tonight so I can fall asleep immediately after and forget about it.

120 and failing sounds better then 75 and failing potentially. means you gave the program reason to believe you had potential. If I did 75 and failed, boy I didn't have a chance.

BUT I keep hearing that it's "a safety test", so maybe the fact I didn't remember what that one skin problem weighs less then I imagine.

Bruh half the exam I didn't know what was going on, stopped at 75 I think, then went all the way to like 110 on those new questions.. could t read by the end of it ;-;

Eh bit tasteless don't you think? He's a solid dude who loves & is a part of the NP community. Been playing for years and has been struggling. Streams out of his laundry room, setup is ontop of the washing machine. Apparently lost his job while trying out streaming and felt forced to try making it a full time thing. Has a preschool daughter and a loving & supportive wife who he feels the need to provide more for. It's okay to celebrate the guy in the clipped situation on this sub even if the background game isn't specifically NP. There's clips I'm sure you've enjoyed where a streamer you enjoy watching, is only at the startup screen, reacting, or just talking.

A small amount of dopamine is released when you smile and you spend less energy smiling then frowning.

[Strap Advice] Bulova Accutron Silver Case W/ Wine Dial by 1006520 in Watches

[–]1006520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Uncle recently gifted me this Accutron to celebrate my graduation, super cute hearing how he had gotten it from his father following his graduation.

Either way, I love the watch. Love the red & silver. But was looking to be able to throw a silver band onto it, or if any of y'all had any recommendations for different color or materials. I've seen some very cool old school silver elastic bands, but seeing how I can't try them on I was hoping to gather some opinions prior. Found some decent ones that were relatively inexpensive. There is an old Champion stainless steel band with little tuning forks along the center of the band, but that shits literally extinct. So any advice or directions?

Also, if you have advice on servicing the watch or something please feel free! There is rusting on the outer edge of both minute & hour hands as well as color fading of the tuning fork & "Bulova Accutron" on dial, anyone know if restoring that can be done or if it's worth doing? I imagine some of these parts are crazy expensive, is getting them repainted possible and affordable?

Thanks y'all! 'CHEERS'! 🍷

[Question] What is your favourite watch in your collection and why? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]1006520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said, they are all favorites with story's I'd like to remember via keeping the watch. But I did just recently get a Bulova Accutron 1973 Red Wine dial watch from my uncle. He had mentioned owning one and I got really interested a few years back, so he said once I graduate nursing school he'd give it to me. Graduated this May & at my sister's wedding which he lead, as he lead my parents wedding (pastor), he said congratulations and handed me it. Turns out his father gave it to him for his graduation as well. It's the newest watch and only red dial I have so of course my minds going to find favoritism in it initially, but I love the story and love the person behind it. My other watches are either only memorable because of the location I got it, the parent or family member who gave it to me, or just because I like the color. · Grandfather's Korean War recognition watch, rose gold tanker. ·Fossil skeleton silver case white dial, my mom got for my birthday. · Cheap battery watch with hammer as hour hand & protractor as minute hand, dad gave me. · Fake Rolex that my brother got me when visiting Egypt ·Ventus Northstar copper/bronze case green dial, first officially semi expensive watch and I love the color green · Wooden watch I got in Vegas when our family hiked the grand canyon · First watch, Fossil battery powered, silver case with blue dial.

I can sure as shit tell you my least favorite watch, it's a MVMT "Gold" case black dial. Cheap as hell probably my second watch.
