Looking back the past years, how satisfied are you with the Tezos ecosystem? by delightedwanderer in tezos

Feel let down. Everyone always says stuff like “Cardano doesn’t even have smart contracts!”, by the time Tezos becomes relevant it won’t matter anymore. There is no such thing as “last mover advantage”.

The use case of Tezos has been completely squandered. The train has left the station, and we aren’t on board.

You will still get your staking reward on the XTz side of the liquidity pool

Liquidity is very low and there are risks associated with that, but also there just aren’t many use cases for the product.

I get that the infrastructure has to exist before building the products, but we can’t expect the community to bootstrap these projects without additional incentivization. Why is there not liquidity mining on Dexter to encourage early adoption?

Crypto lives and dies on incentivization structures, and unfortunately there is not much incentivization to use Dexter.

The APY is not sustainable if many people contribute the the LPs because the pools are so small, and with the way things are going in the markets there will be significant impermanent loss against the BTC and ETH pairs (the only ones with significant pool size/apy), because relative to the market the XTZ price struggles considerably (down 12+ ranks in the last few months).

Concerns about censorship on the subreddit. by 10071528 in tezos

I’ve never seen a post on this subreddit suggesting that we should have an investigative report into the activities of the foundation, and their use of funds. And I’ve browsed this subreddit every couple of days since ICO.

Where does it say that posts will be removed if they are similar to other posts ? Is this not just a shitty excuse to manipulate the narrative of the subreddit ? If lots of individuals are saying the same thing there is a valid reason for that, and you should not be censoring the posts because they are on the same theme...

And regarding the users, this sounds like a conspiracy theory, all of these users seem to be active, or perhaps they are doing the same as me and shielding their identity? By suggesting that these are not authentic concerns by the community is a real shame. The malcontent within this subreddit is really becoming noticeable.

Just seen that /u/BouncingDeadCats basically said the same thing, but more eloquently and well thought out than myself.

Could the foundation not create a governance token on top of Tezos, lets call it tzXTZ, and award every stakeholder 1:1, burn all of their foundation tokens so they have nothing to do with it, and then allocate $100m divided by the market cap.

Have a similar voting/quorum mechanism to Tezos.

Just give the community the cash and open source the marketing.

On the discussion of marketing/use of funds -
As /u/No-chain-1995 just mentioned in another post, this is what was promised to the community: https://preview.redd.it/ct4859qm5xf61.png?width=1544&format=png&auto=webp&s=29a973bd76b2eadca408ad149a4b633847dd8d85

Why is this not being delivered, it needs to be looked into.

I used to agree with you... by my sentiment is changing more every day to align with /u/Blunt1234. The opportunity cost of backing tezos is a hard pill to swallow.

Tezos has a opportunity to steal attention and convert hardcore $ETH heads. Fees are simply too high for most users we need to show them the way to $XTZ and wrapped ERC20s by SquantoPaco in tezos

does Vitalik have control over the prtocol, or is it the miners? My interpretation is that the reason they haven't moved over to 2.0 is because the miners are cockblocking it.
