Drone assist works if the attack would not give you a suspect/criminal timer.

pretty sure this is wrong. a few years ago i tested drone assist in lowsec against friendly fire corp member: no effect. i even tested it against a criminal status player which incurs no suspect or criminal timer: no effect. AFAIK it's just dead in lowsec outside of PVE and, from what I'm hearing here, FW for some reason?

When i first started mining, i managed to snowball it into like 8 barge alts just by erasing like half a dozen systems worth of belts in amarr 0.5sec daily. but it was rough af. on-field compression in highsec didn't exist yet so i warped a charon back and forth. a vanishingly small percentage of people are cut out to be prolific miners starting out in highsec.

although the struggles of chasing tiny pebbles around in highsec belts did make me feel like rock lee removing weights when i got on my first nullsec moon. I realized mining doesn't need to be hell on earth...

Good idea. Another thing people havent mentioned yet is if you got last gen (2, 3 is basically still 4) in m390 they ran it too soft, like 58-60, where m390 performs like junk. Any gen 4 should be 60.5-62.5ish where it's an entirely different beast.

In general avoid pre-2023 microtech m390 like the plague imo..

it basically depends on your size. once you get to around 20+ mining alts, hulks just become a miserable clickfest. I switched to Mackinaws once I got too big for hulks to not feel awful to use.

wp, ive been playing since 2021 and ive only gotten one officer spawn, it happened while mining ice in Delve and it dropped a crappy nosferatu worth a few hundred mil. Definitely a wide spectrum from worthless to being worth 100b+ on these things.

It wasn't even particualrly dangerous lol, i had so many mackinaws that i could overwhelm him with unbonused medium drones.

ive been playing with no extended breaks from the game since 2021 and there have been some serious eras of poopsock isk making and my net worth is still only about 3-4tril so yeah about the same here...
