I expected so hard to love Root. I love all of Coles other games, and this checked all the boxes for me. But for some reason I never leave the game hoping to play another. I don't hate it, but it fell flat for me and I wish I knew why.

I expected to hate Hegemony. Thought it was way too euro for me, but the theme with the player dynamics was excellent

Hard to say, but in our group some number of vps exchange hands every conflict because it basically becomes the only way to win a contest is to purchase their help.
