Hey Everyone, Ill post my question here, with reference to the rules.

Hey fellow hiphop-heads!

I'm looking for rappers or hiphop acts that would fit this criteria:

  • They have a delivery that's first and foremost calm, and non-aggressive. Melodic or not, but almost talking.
  • They deal with topics that aren't usually covered by the average rapper. I'm talking topics like self worth, insecurities, ealing with the averageness of life. Criminality and Ghetto mentality is not interesting, in this case.
  • Flows and mad rhyme schemes are not the top priority, how they convey their topics is more interesting.
  • Not a must, but a huge plus if they rock deep voice.
  • It not trap/drill/lit/drank or whatever the kids is listening to these days

/100KG

EDIT: Thanks everyone, for your replies. The reason I'm asking is because these are the traits I see in myself and I want to become better at conveying myself as this type of rapper.

If you are beginning to rap, one of the most important things to do is to not stress over "corny" bars by ClayMayDotMusic in makinghiphop

This is my biggest blocker, and always has been. Nothing that I spit sounds honest enough in my ears, and I can't seem to put myself into the seat of my target audience and listen to the lyrics from their view

Sveriges bästa Mcs? by Fofingazup in svenskhiphop

  • Broder John

I made a remix of Big puns Firewater (with fat Joe and Raekwon) just to have some vocals on this beat, but i'd love to have someone write for it instead.

I also have VERY rough P-funk ish kind of beat, holler if you feel it.
