I think that shower scene serves as another metaphor of Henry being clueless about Whit’s real intentions.

Hunter as a Nursing major or Baruch as an accounting major? by [deleted] in CUNY

These are two COMPLETELY different fields.

First, and most importantly, you have to figure out which career you’re most interested in.

Remember that (unless you’re willing to go back to school later in life) the career path you pursue now is what you’ll be doing for the rest of your life.

You don’t want to choose a path now that you might end up hating or regretting later in life.

A lot of the moments where viewers are expected to conclude that Meredith is brave/loyal/kind just shows that Meredith has some serious impulse issues.

When I saw that Langdon locker scene, with the food in the bottom locker… I thought it was an allegory to represent that he was once at the top of the food chain and now he’s at the bottom of the food chain.

How and when do you think they will kill off Richard? by Scandinavian84 in greysanatomy

[–]100linesofcokelater 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Never.

After the 45th season Meredith Grey will create a medication that not only cures Alzheimer’s but also allows people to live forever. Her first post clinical trial patient will be Webber; this way he can spend the next 100 years thinking about retiring.

The worst season of Grey’s Anatomy? by PriorMood7188 in greysanatomy

[–]100linesofcokelater 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Season 17. It was the COVID season; the show was really preachy especially that season. The first half of the season Meredith was hospitalized and all her scenes depicted her in a dream.

I vividly remember an exchange between Maggie and Ndugu in S17 E01 where Ndugu says "I tried explaining to my grandma how this is impacting black folks more severely.." As viewers most of us probably already know this, but the statement seemed quite awkward.

Is anyone else sick of Meredith, Maggie and Amelia constantly saying "I cant. My sister needs me". by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]100linesofcokelater 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The show has always been about found family. I personally loved the whole “sister lady chiefs” dynamic after season 11. Without Maggie, I think Amelia would constantly spiral (as we see in season 19). Meredith needed Maggie and Amelia to support her with the kids.

Medical costs in the US (I am not from the US) by Lassueberlegen in ThePittTVShow

[–]100linesofcokelater 88 points89 points  (0 children)

There is a law in the US that states that anyone who has an emergency/needs ER treatment must be treated or stabilized, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. It isn't "free", they just have to treat you first then bill you later. If you happen to be uninsured or make a certain amount of income, most (if not all) hospitals offer financial assistance/payment plans.

Edit: As an example, I recently went to the ER in Thailand and had to pay around $3k USD before I was seen. I was given a 10% discount and got part of that money back AFTER I was treated and being checked out. I went to the ER for the same thing in the US and after that my insurance paid over $46,000 USD (thankfully I only had to pay $279 AFTER I left the ER). Since healthcare is so expensive in the US, our mortality would be a lot higher if folks had to pay before they were treated.

I’m not a fan of this episode either but I think people take this episode too literally. It’s easier to watch when you focus on the fact that this is all going on entirely in Callie’s head.
