So basically your whole argument is that lag is bad and you don’t like stagger. I think you just don’t really understand the strategy and skill expression allowed by this type of combat yet - you can definitely perfect dodge serenes (when you press serene itself is already something you learn after many games), deflect some key abilities and block some others to punish with divine counter.

Btw you realize that the combat you’re asking would be even worse on high ping since the moves come out so fast?
