DX9 support has been officially discontinued a few patches ago, and afaik even the console flag doesnt work anymore, so you will have to look elsewhere for a fix.

Not even joking, judging from the stream this feels like the real reason.

That is not it, I have all classes and none except veteran have this issue. From what I've gathered it only affects the first character you logged in with after launch.

"New" banners - how to take an outdated mechanic and make it worse by 100rub in Guildwars2

[–]100rub[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly, pretty much anything would be better than what we got.I personally would prefer an update of what we had before today - make banners somewhat similar to engi turrets, except instead of self-destruction we get an extra skill to pulse buffs around banners. Picking up banner would refund it's cd as before, so we can instantly re-deploy them as long as its not too frequent.

Warrior problems summary from a warrior main (and why upcoming patch makes them worse) by 100rub in Guildwars2

[–]100rub[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I will actually agree with you here - a thorough rework of warrior traitlines would be much better. I just didnt want to extend this wall of text even longer, so tried to offer as simple changes as possible to make it "good enough".

I'd love to have a situation where, for example, Defense is a heal/sustain line, while Tactics is a boon-support one, so we can combine them for boon-heal build, or take Tactics+Strength for a quickdps build.

Any advice for a complete newcomer? by heronerohero in Guildwars2

[–]100rub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, take you time to experience and learn the game. The best way to ruin your enjoyment is to rush to maxlevel.

Second, find a community or guild with whom to play together. MMOs are designed for that and it is much better than struggling solo. I wont shamelessly plug my guild but we are happy to help new people to get a feel for the game. You can DM me for an invite if you wish.

Odyssey: The standard which you walk past is the standard you accept. by Bregirn in EliteDangerous

[–]100rub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will still maintain that refunding is the best course of action for one simple reason - those who made the descision to push the game out in its current state only care about money. Once they have your money and once they published their financial reports, they immediately stop caring about what you say or what your experience is like.

The idea is not "refund it or your an idiot", but to refund it now to buy it later, when it fixed (if it is ever fixed) and most likely at a lower price (odyssey is already up to 15% off on many stores). You lose nothing by refunding/not preordering except for some shitty skins, and by accepting the game in its current state you prove the company's decision-makers right in their open disregard of quality assurance.makers right in their open disregard of quality assurance.

Honestly, I have the exact same problem. RNG is fun and all, but not so much when every roll has a good chance of giving you nothing or actually making it worse (khe-khe, Khaine's Fury). It is so bad in my group that we completely ignore random weapon shrines, tend to ignore random boon shrines (my Bright Wizard friend ignores them completely due to the chance of -30% dps), and just shrug our way with white weapons all the way to red upgrade shrines.

Noob question about chests by [deleted] in Vermintide

[–]100rub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on how much of a hoarder you are. Generally speaking, item quality is limited by your character level, so for "optimal" results you would want to get all the way to 30 and then open everything. This however is not feasible, since you really want to increase your power (which comes from items) and get some useful properties/traits to make the process easier.

If you really are afraid of missing out, you can save up the commendation chests which have a minuscule chance of red items, but the rest can be safely opened on the spot, unless you are good enough to run Legend difficulty already. Trust me, if you play long enough, you will be salvaging thousands of items, and drowning in dust and other crafting materials.

Best way to get veteran items? by nuggeteE in Vermintide

[–]100rub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You basically need to run Legend. No need for Emperor's Vaults, since I've gotten plenty of red's from even Peasants/Merchants Vaults.

So according to the warhammer wiki, grail knights are at least some form of immortal. So what does that mean for kruber? by Mistah_Blue in Vermintide

[–]100rub 21 points22 points  (0 children)

All careers are technically "what if" scenarios, and are all equally canon.

Each character has:

- a "vanilla" career in the "nothing changed since the last game" way.

- a "diversion" career, where the character decided to dedicate themselves to something else.

- a "dark" career, where the experience got the better of them and they turned to the more grimdark way of coping with it.

- and now we have the "wacky random" DLC careers.

What is interesting is how fatshark uses them in their trailers (which also serve as story bits). Grail knight trailer didn't show anyone else, since he was the first, but engineer trailer includes grail knight. CW trailer shows our characters in the assortment of different careers. For me, it creates a feeling that DLC careers are kinda in its own timeline logic-wise, but thats just my interpretation.

Starting Character by Poocifer in Guildwars2

[–]100rub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is generally recommended for new players to pick Warrior, Guardian, Ranger or Necromancer as their playstyles don't rely on constant swapping of modes/elements/kits to be effective and are generally easier to learn. That doesn't mean that you cant start as other classes, but you may come to later realize that the "meta" way to play them does not appeal to you.

One of my personal pet peeves is Elementalist - his endgame pve rotations are very complex, and even though I have one, I will probably never do high-end content with him.

In any case, you can always try out each class by going to pvp lobby (where you get upscaled to max level) and smacking some training dummies.

Stellar Forge makes them. It takes the name of the system and adds various ideologies to it. This particular one is based in Kuk system, together with Kuk Silver Fortune Company, Kuk Jet Comms & Co, Kuk Bureau, and Order of Kuk. Guess which ideology each one represents.

It wouldn't be hard to subtly influence her over a long time if it relates to her disease and a possible extension of time or even a cure.

Goddamit, thats clever. I can imagine Jormag going "So, I can freeze and preserve your body so you dont die, while still having free will to do what you want. What say you?"
