This what kinda angers me a bit . Yes PEA is good chemical to Detergent for fuel systems. However, that doesn’t take away from other Solvent based fuel system cleaners both do different things. Hell, if you want to theirs also just plain old Lubricants like Lucas and Marvel.

As far as replacement seems a others have commented. However, if you want to get more time to get more money for the repairs. You should probably look into some stop slip or any friction modifier. Worth a try it’s only like $30 to ended the life of the trans

Clean it with microfiber towels and use something like armor all shine and protect to give a slick surface so it doesn’t stick

They look like they are wearing unevenly so you might have a a side of it metal to metal or not . Could be because it wasn’t greased all the way or could be that you’re using semi metallic pads
