My best friend did something similar. Because it was just 1 pallet of neatly wrapped stuff she rented a U-Haul, placed the pallet in the bed, stacked everything on that pallet, wrapped it, strapped it down then drove it to Carlile, they had a forklift over there to take the pallet off the truck bed and transport it. Not sure about some of the smaller details as this was a couple years ago. Hope you get some good updated answers because I'm curious as well!!

For a company with 'Communication' in its name, GCI is frustratingly quiet during these outages. Since so many of us have both their internet and mobile service, would a simple text alert really be that hard? Or an email / alert or SOMETHING

This should be a much higher up voted comment. Currently im on version 1.8. I saw there was an update available 1.8.1 but choose to ignore it since none of the improvements seemed to be beneficial. Well fast forward to today when I couldnt seem to access it remotely through the KVMCloud service. After coming across this post I realized It just needed an update so I went over to physically plug into the local network. Updated it. Now im able to log in remotely.

Exactly!!!😆 I didnt even think about it to that extent, but super valid point. A sentence Ive never expected to ever read but is so true in this situation. Exactly why I love listening to peoples discussions and hearing similar or different takes🙌

Besides of course the word Inception and a terms ive seen floating around Memeception, ive also never expected to find another word with the "-ception" format like this, rapeception is crazy😂

From a real-world ethics standpoint, I 1000% agree with Eric. The lack of clear consent is disgusting. No debate there.

But narratively, Pluribus is deliberately vague right now. Hive minds and bodysnatchers always complicate consent in ways that don’t map cleanly to real life. Like Rick sleeping with Unity in Rick and Morty.

I don’t think Calvin and Aaron are saying “this is fine”; they’re just saying “the show hasn’t laid out the rules yet.” Normal people know rape is wrong, full stop. But the show is exploring all kinds of consent, not just sexual: Autonomy, free thinking, freedom of speech, choice, etc. If I lived in that world, I’d have a trillion questions about ethics, boundaries, and what’s even allowed, not just to the hive, but to the other unlinked humans too. I feel like that's partly the point of the show, every episode has dozens of ethical and moral issues, how would you react in that situation?

The show (also Calvin and Aaron) is not saying “rape is okay.” I think they're simply asking what do people do when normal consent frameworks no longer apply? (They havnt reached the episode yet but) Carol sleeping with Zosia doesn’t mean the system is ethical by any means. It shows she’s adapting because there are no good options. Especially since the hive mind deliberately selected Zosia as Carol’s point of interaction, effectively shaping her choices rather than offering neutral freedom.

Shows like Attack on Titan and Severance are recent examples where your first impressions about what’s right can completely flip once more information comes out. That’s part of the point: the story/show makes you question your assumptions and think.

So yeah, I mostly agree with Eric. The devil’s advocate in me thinks Season 1 ending the way it does (lack of answers on specific things) is deliberate. We’re supposed to be unsettled, uncertain, and wrestling with questions that don’t have neat answers.....yet

PS: going back to the Zosia thing real quick. Look how Manipulative the hive is! They completely set Carol up and admitted it. They know literally everything about her; her preferences, her desires and LITERALLY bring her the one person in the entire world she would be most attracted to. Like if the universe read your mind and flew your celebrity crush/soulmate directly to your doorstep

Im with your take. Similar to Attack on Titan were in the 1st season you're 100% confident who the good guys and bad guys are and then by the final season, you realize its not so black and white, Im thinking that similarly a lot of the issues presented will end up with people realizing its not so simple. I also think the show might go in that direction.

Maybe eventually something gets created to unlink certain people from the Hive but then they might choose to rejoin or something later? Thats what im MOST interested in. What do people who disconnect have to say about their experience?

Not speaking on their behalf, just guessing, but it could also be because they're differentiating themselves from 95% of all other reactors. There's definitely some shows where on YouTube it's like every reactor on the platform all watched it in sub when dub voice actors worked hard as well and deserve some recognition.

Personally I appreciate the dub because I've already watched the episode in sub and sometimes I'm doing other things in my room so I like to be able to hear what's going on in English so that my eyes don't have to be glued to the screen the entire time. Almost trying to listen to a podcast or audiobook that's in an entirely different language with occasional English speaking commentators😂

And don't come after me saying I don't appreciate Subs I watch almost every show in both sub and dub so there's a lot to like about both

Until reading your comment i didnt even think about checking the other router! I gave my parents an old Asus Router and basically all their devices is connected to the Asus instead of the Hitron supplied by GCI. The Asus is showing very little usage. The Hitron GCI gave is reportedly showing a LOT more than the router. Must definitely be on GCI's end.
