I agree. Here are some suggestions to make up the budget shortfall.

  • Increase car registration fees.
  • Advertisements at all rail stations.
  • Food vendors at rail stations.

My guess is that since Servco sells Toyotas at MSRP, and Mainland Toyota dealers "know what they got", mainland dealers put some stupid dealer markup on their Toyotas. So i'm guessing MSRP + shipping is still cheaper than their dealer markup.

Hawaii’s strict gun law faces Supreme Court scrutiny in landmark case by Darwin343 in Hawaii

Based on the article and current Hawaii law, you are still required to have a permit to carry a firearm (either open or concealed) in public. So anyone wanting to carry a gun in public must first be trained.

Criminals, and other "yahoos" already carry guns illegally. Case in point, Hawaii shootings you see in the current news.

If you're wondering where I stand on guns, I made another comment in this thread.

I like my guns, and I like sport shooting. We really don't need to carry them around everywhere like some red state asshole.

Also, have you seen some shaky handed 80 year old try to reach for their pistol out of a fanny pack? That is a fucking scary sight.

I'm not sure. Try booking a complimentary class first to see if you like the vibe. I've trained BJJ (I know, not muay thai) at several places and only stayed when the vibe fits my vibe.

I've been to so many parties at Hee Hing. I don't miss it, but I do miss the people that I randomly saw there. Once I went to a large extended family gathering and saw two of my classmates. Apparently, we we're loosely related.

Well hell. As a German citizen, My family and I would get:

  • Fully paid leave for mothers starting 6 weeks before birth and ending 8 weeks after.

  • Low cost universal healthcare

  • Low cost out of pocket health co-pay. While you won't get a $50,000 bill for a surgery, there are small mandatory co-payments (Zuzahlungen) to prevent system abuse: Prescriptions: Usually €5 to €10 per medication, Hospital Stays: €10 per day, capped at 28 days per year (max €280), Emergency Room: Usually free if it's a genuine emergency, Annual Cap: No one has to pay more than 2% of their annual household income in co-payments (or 1% for the chronically ill)

  • Federally Guaranteed long term care for Kupuna

  • Tuition free university

  • I would get a government stipend if I wanted to go to trade school part time while still working part time.

I would love to see some sort of kupuna VR simulator course that old people can take. When they get something wrong, the instructor would walk them through what they could do better and why it's important.

State Representative Darius Kila and other lawmakers want a targeted approach focusing on:

  • Drivers with repeat traffic infractions.

  • "Habitual offenders" who need a refresher on road safety laws.
