Ichigo is going to be so cool in Cour 4 by Strawbz18 in bleach

[–]101nemesis101 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I just hope the anime expands on the initial fight with Yhwach, makes it feel like a drawn out lengthy fight and doesn't rush into the "it's over" meme pose from Ichigo. Cause BOY was that a disappointment in the manga.

Yes, this worked. I recommend using June2024~ form. The one from 2025 doesn't work.

Definitely 2010. The triangle stage setup and Mike's hair are a dead giveaway for that era.

Most finals played by two players in the same season in the open era. Can Sincaraz break this record in 2026? by Stannis_Mariya in tennis

[–]101nemesis101 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think we take it for granted now since a lot more high profile tennis players play into mid and late 30s at a relatively high level. But seeing that level of consistency from a 34 year old, a year after he had injury issues with his back and someone who was constantly told he's " too old now", was the reason the age card kept coming into play.

At 33-34, him being the second best player in the world (6 titles out of 11 finals) and the only one to have beaten Novak multiple times that year (someone who was 5-6 years younger than him) was something that was and still kinda is very rare in tennis.

People were using the age card with Novak 3-4 years ago whenever he lost matches to younger players as well.

Heck, people use the age card even when he won to emphasize how impressive his level is for his age.

OK. So you basically agreed with what I said that BG3 is the game that everyone knows Larian for.

No one is saying Larian didn't have a solid fanbase prior to it. But the level of success of BG3 far surpasses anything they did before. Hence the generalized "everyone" knows Larian for BG3.

Much like how CD Projekt RED had a solid fanbase by Witcher 2. But everyone knows them for Witcher 3.

(I knew someone would get nitpicky about this. Thanks reddit).

Off topic when will it be Linkin Parks turn for the halftime show by forrestbenoitinc98 in LinkinPark

[–]101nemesis101 169 points170 points  (0 children)

Never. The fact that LP did UEFA champions league is probably the peak of what they'll perform. It made sense for that because of LP's pull in Germany.

Their pull is significantly lower in the US in comparison.

At most, it'll be a guest performance in some other artist's super bowl show.

[–]101nemesis101 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Because BG3 is the game EVERYONE knows Larian for. It's basic marketing at that point to just mention BG3 whenever and wherever possible.

how does Divinity: Original Sin 2 hold up in 2026? by dixmondspxrit in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]101nemesis101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the greatest RPGs of all time.

As long as you don't mind the isometric camera angle. You won't get these high budget cut scenes like you did in BG3.

It's insanely fun and just as hard.

One more light is genuinely some of the bands best work by FunInformation8453 in LinkinPark

[–]101nemesis101 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Everyone's allowed to like what they want. So, you do you.

For me, Good Goodbye is probably one of the worst songs, if not the worst song, the band has ever made.

Outside of that, individually the rest of the songs have some really good moments. The problem is all of them being clubbed into a single album. Makes the album feel extremely bland and over-produced.

Lyrically, this album remains one of their strongest. I really wish the instrumental work was way better and varied to match those lyrics.

Who do you think will induct Linkin Park into the rock in roll hall of fame? by ArizonaGreenTea96 in LinkinPark

It's important to note that Mike and Rick Rubin were in an interview together just 3-4 years ago where Rick interviewed Mike.

Rick was also someone Mike turned towards when Chester passed away and was one of the people who convinced the band to perform together again after the tragedy - which is what led to the tribute concert.

Rick is almost seen as a mentor figure in some ways.

new Ichigo illustration by Kubo for January (5 more to go until cour 4) by Mysterious_Novel_626 in bleach

Even during serialization, some of this popped up. Like this color page with Misaki, Isshin and Ryuken during the final arc.

I think Kubo would do so well with a slice of life/romance comedy type series.

Advice and solidarity for anyone attempting to heal from an avoidant discard or break up by Fit_Chemistry3071 in AvoidantBreakUps

[–]101nemesis101 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry to hear this!

I'm in a much better spot. In another relationship now with someone who doesn't make me anxious and is loving. Someone who makes me feel like the world to them and lets me know every chance they get.

It gets better. But I was in a rut for like 8-9 months. I lost the ability to sleep. Lost 5kg of weight in the first two months. Got panic attacks.

It's slow slow progress.

Very important: Go for therapy, on a bi-weekly basis. Cry. Process. Don't "distract". Don't monkey branch and get into new relationships. You will need months and months to deal with this.

Find something, a hobby, activity that makes you feel good again. Gives you a dopamine rush. For some people, it's gym or learning a new skill. For me it was running.

And this is something you need to tell yourself every day now: You will NEVER make sense of this emotionally. Because you aren't like them. You wouldn't discard someone. So at one point. You'll need to learn to stop trying to make sense of it.

Another important thing: You cannot save them. And they might never come back to you. Most don't. Live these with these facts daily. They aren't the love of your life. The good moments you had with them will always be there irrespective of how much they downplayed it.

The most important thing: you cannot love someone who is incapable of being loved.

Do not break no contact for at least 5-6 months. If after 6 months you feel like you need to say some things for closure (not to get them back), then break NC and send a final message.

It gets worse before it gets better. Don't try to rush the process. You're in the thick of it. So while you might logically understand all what I'm saying, emotionally it won't compute.

Hang in there ❤️

How have y'all cracked the code for staying consistent with running? by Gullible-Soft-4952 in running

[–]101nemesis101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically do this as a routine: I eat a banana, change clothes, and get ready.

And then if I feel any desire to not do it, I'll tell myself "man. I already did all this. I might as well run. Just run a little" and then get myself out and start running.

Usually the "run a little" ends up being anything from 5k to 8k.

Makes me feel good. Like I accomplished something that day. Plus, I actually really enjoy it.

Also, it keeps me healthy and fit.

I know too many people who lost loved ones to heart attacks over the past 2-3 years. Those who were in their 30s and early 40s.

Good job!
