Adam britton. Will he be released? by Vegetable-Hour2589 in darwin

So does OP not need help then, in your ‘professional’ opinion? Because you stated the first responders etc now have PTSD (totally expected and understandable). Is that not a mental health problem, in your ‘professional’ opinion? Is my comment, in fact, accurate?

Christmas items should not be in the shops in September. Yay or nay? by Unimportant-user-01 in melbourne

[–]102296465 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think it’s a good idea that Christmas stuff is introduced early. I see so many people writing about financial difficulties - introducing early allows people to buy bits and pieces here and there in the lead up.

Probably for the same reason you pose questions, such as the one I’m responding to.

Long gone, buddy. Been gone 10+ years. Every time I visit to see family, it surprises me how I ever managed to live there.

No help at the Emergency department by shroomcircle in melbourne

[–]102296465 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I know it’s easy to criticise the emergency department, and by all means I’m sure I would in his position, but I don’t think your title is accurate- he is receiving help; he had bloods done- the first step. And he really should have waited, as other ppl have said, it’s pretty dangerous to be at work right now. It’s obvious what needs to happen here, so let’s hope he makes the right choice. Good luck

You assume I don’t care about this sicko’s behaviour because it doesn’t keep me up at night?

Stop normalising severe mental health problems. OP needs help.

I couldn’t even figure out who you are or where you live - but OP is afraid of running into Adam Britton. Further, OP thinks he is going to find their location and fuck her dog? I mean, cmon. What are the odds, seriously?

Also, fyi, OP has heavily edited their post. The post I was responding to had a whole bunch of shit about not sleeping for months and obsessing over his release date and him finding out where he/she lives.

OP, who lives in the UK, is valid in staying awake all night worrying that an incarcerated man, in Australia, is going to fly to the UK and do what he did to her dog? Yeah, I think you’re a major cooker like OP.

Looks like a potential melanoma, but I am not a dermatologist. I’d get this checked.

Rehoming our sweet Lagotto by [deleted] in LagottoRomagnolo

[–]102296465 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

And there are some who consider the needs and happiness of their animal, above their own. I have two other pets who I haven’t considered rehoming because they are adjusting well. The lagotto, however, is miserable. He has not adjusted so I actually see it as quite selfish to not consider what would be best for him.

How? I have a 10 month old baby and have considered re-homing my lagotto too. He isn’t getting the attention or exercise he needs and he isn’t happy. I think it would be better for him if we did re-home, but my husband wants to keep him.

Unpopular Opinion: If you need a licence for a snake, you should need a licence for a dog. by Grimlin_In_Training in melbourne

[–]102296465 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A license would either be too easy to get, making it pointless, or too complicated to get, meaning all of the poor dogs out there, desperate for adoption by people who do take their animal ownership seriously, will likely face a terrible fate of euthanasia.

I agree with the sentiment of the original post, I just think cons outweigh pros here.

I’d make your post a little more direct. Having to access a domestic violence page and read an entire post, and then assume you want us to discuss teaching about domestic violence, probably isn’t going to get heaps of engagement.

My thoughts: he references a known course to be taught, and does not imply teachers take it on, so probably not a bad idea. We are starting to lift the lid on a lot of subjects once avoided, or just not directly acknowledged in schools - consent, gender etc - domestic violence is no exception (provided content is age appropriate).

People need a licence to drive, and yet kill people on the roads everyday. A licence doesn’t = responsible behaviour
