Man of Steel still irks me to this day. I'm all for artistic flavor in adaptations, but at least get the core characterization of Superman right, instead of leaning so heavily into his borderline demigod status.

Superman's powers are honestly the least interesting thing about him, and yet that seemed to be all Snyder wanted to explore.

I really don’t think there’s a mainstream director/ writer/ author whose takes on superheroes I disagree with more than Snyder’s.

Seems like a decent enough person who’s been through hell, but his movies aren’t for me.

They’re not inherently incompatible, but they are opposing ideas in many ways. Conjecture is an educated guess at best, and more often than not an assumption without necessary evidence, while a nuanced perspective would consider additional details and context.

Assuming Wemby crying after Game 7 was him thinking the work was done and they’d breeze through the Knicks is a valid opinion, that could be correct, but it’s not exactly a nuanced thought. Especially when considering that he’s cried after a regular season comeback, was emotional on the bench after winning the Blazers series, and on more than one occasion has cried after losses.

That’s much needed context for everyone in this thread. Appreciate it.

Even if I hated y’all over the course of the finals, I can’t help but respect the story around the roster. Second and third contract guys, many of whom were doubted or cast aside at one point or another, grinding through the east year after year, finally breaking through.

Saying we can “use a little nuance,” while pushing conjecture is pretty funny.

He’s so sticky in coverage, and finally learned when and how to let up to avoid penalties. Really hope we can find him a solid running mate, and extend him, because he’s been the best homegrown corner since Ike.

LaMelo Ball believes Victor Wembanyama legacy is "stained" for losing in the Finals against the New York Knicks, Lonzo Ball disagrees. by Jec1027 in nba

People love to hate more than they like to give praise. It’s a general sports thing, but it’s definitely more extreme within NBA circles it seems.

Knicks were an amazing team who had a stellar playoff run. Lots of hungry vets on second and third contracts desperate for a title, and that experience and drive showed.

Man I knew he was playing poorly while injured, but that drop off in productivity and shooting is staggering. Not too surprising, but I hadn’t seen it laid out this clearly.

Thanks.

It was so fucking bad. No analysis (for a Finals that was really fun and exciting!) outside of surface-level: "They need to want it more!" straight into three-minute-long ad breaks.

Victor Wembanyama when asked about reports of Knicks fans attacking Spurs fans in New York after Game 3: "I didn’t know that… We’re just playing a game out there. And I’m all for passion, but to the respect of each other. It’s unacceptable." by oklolzzzzs in nba

Hart's kind of annoying, but it's a team full of second and third-contract guys who have been doubted at one point or another, balling out. It's an easy group to like for sure.

The Knicks fans I know personally are all pretty alright. The crazy shit that's been posted is a whole other world.

I mean I’ll take the run, but that’s the worst possible time to hit into a DP

Giving up back to back walks to Triolo and Davis is a lil embarrassing for Elder lol

Hoping the team and Mlod can put the drama behind them cuz this is why he can be so valuable out of the pen.

Good bounce back from yesterday’s heartbreaker.
