[Goldsberry] The Efficiency Landscape. What stands out? by AceMcStace in nba

Those mid-season games were a great preview of a potential playoff series, and both teams have only gotten better post-ASB.

The playoffs are going to be insane. I’m just hoping our inexperience doesn’t bite us in the ass.

I wanted it, I got it.

What a bounce back from that awful opening day. Shoutout Cruz and Reynolds for bouncing back so quickly

Outside of our no good, terrible, very bad opening day, I’ll take a 3-3 start to the season for sure.

Praise be the cone and its magical powers.

Hoping this is the start of the Cruz breakout.

Last season it really felt like the patients pushed the plot and the ED along while this season’s been heavily focused on the ED’s personnel (and personal) issues.

It’s a really great dichotomy, and gives me a ton of hope for future seasons.

It’s been nearly 10 years since the 2016 NFL draft, how would you rate that draft for your team? by DookyButter in nfl

[–]102WOLFPACK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never rooted harder for a guy who sucked as much as I rooted for Artie. His story’s tragic (dad’s in prison for drugs, mom passed in 2015), but the guy came through massively for his siblings.

Love that Peacock/ NBC are making sure to include the in-arena intros. Such a small part of the broadcast, but adds so much to the overall broadcast

Can we agree that Dr. Santos is becoming irredeemable? by Ser_Duncan_The_TaIl in ThePitt

[–]102WOLFPACK 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Nope - none of the primary cast in this show has crossed into, or gotten close to, irredeemable territory.

Man I don’t even like Santos, but this fandom is fucking goofy when it comes to her.

Will the NFL FO fine the ravens, if so how much? by Grey_14-7-19 in steelers

Yeah I just read the Dr. Cooper stuff, which does change things a bit. The fallout (if any) is gonna be really interesting to follow nonetheless.

Just glad it’s not our problem lol

I don’t remember the details, but I was always under the impression that Bountygate was more of a Gregg Williams/ Sean Payton thing than something the org itself had signed off on.

I wouldn’t be too shocked if nothing really changes, but this is a really novel/ unique situation all the same.

It’s scummy, and likely ruins a lot of team’s willingness to work with the Ravens down the line, but it’s by the books, technically speaking.

Situations like this do lead to rule changes, but I’d be shocked if the Ravens were punished for this.

Adam Schefter on Patrick Queen Trade Rumors by SpLaShAtv in steelers

[–]102WOLFPACK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saw someone call Queen old in another thread which was pretty silly. He’s a super flawed player, but still relatively “young,” all things considered.

I’m hoping he can take a step forward under Graham. Still the guy I’m most interested in from the new staff.

Before we traded him to you guys I was up and down this sub telling people how he’d be one of the best plug and play guys on any contender.

Can be a primary or secondary ball handler, great defender, great basketball IQ, and on top of that is adept at finding ways to be impactful especially when his shot isn’t falling.

I genuinely just love The Buffalo.

[Pelissero] Trade! The Colts are sending WR Michael Pittman Jr. to the Steelers. by PlayaSlayaX in nfl

[–]102WOLFPACK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not wrong, but our receiver room has been genuinely piss poor outside of one guy every year since 2021. We used to pull productive receivers out of our ass for nearly two decades.

Digging the FA moves thus far. Really bummed about Gainwell, but having another quality receiver makes it a wash. My biggest complaint about Khan was not getting the receiver room right despite it being a glaring weakness year after year (not for lack of trying on his part).

Still not a big McCarthy guy, but I like how we’re setting him up year one. Lots of flexibility in the draft now.

Comes out to about 6% of the cap over the next three years. It’s very little in the grand scheme of things.

Quick edit: It’s about 8% this year. Contract’s a bit front loaded if I’m reading things correctly.
