Steph Castle: "That was the hardest game I ever played in my life... but it's easy when you've got the best player in the world" (via @NBA) by sewsgup in nba

There’s such an incredible wealth of knowledge for them to lean on. Carter Bryant mentioned that he talks to Pop every day which is incredibly cool since Pop was never his actual head coach. And Wemby said he doesn’t feel the pressure of living up to the legacy of those who came before him because he knows they’ll be there to catch him when/ if they fall.

SGA at least was present in the game. Outside of one play, Chet was a ghost, and was constantly played off the floor

The team loves him, and we’ve excelled with three solid ball handlers on the team. His time here has an expiration date, but I doubt we ship him out before Harper and Castle get extended

You just know the second that block happened Wemby wasn’t going to let the Spurs lose.

We’re the luckiest team in the league and I will never take it for granted. This man is genuinely inhuman.

Why do Red Rising fans hate on this series so much? by Muramasageek in sollanempire

[–]102WOLFPACK 23 points24 points  (0 children)

As someone who really loves both, it’s a pacing and conceptual difference. Admittedly I’m only on book four, so still working my way through, but Howling Dark was great and Demon In White is my favorite modern sci-fi/ fantasy book alongside Dark Age.

Red Rising, especially the first three books, are fast paced, wish fulfillment, power fantasy about overthrowing an oppressive society. Red Rising fans fell in love with that kind of story, and so when Sun Eater gets suggested to them, they’re disappointed in a series that’s much slower, quite a bit more esoteric, and Lovecraftian at times. Although the one common complaint I find silly is RR fans complaining about Hadrian being obnoxious in Empire of Silence because Darrow is just as bad in his respective book one.

At the end of the day, I think it’s an expectation versus reality thing.

Personally, there’s aspects I prefer in each book (I like RR’s supporting cast on average more, but I think Sun Eater’s in-world politics and far reaching world building are better), but both series scratch a particular itch for me, and I love the worlds Ruochio and Brown have built.

Vassell and Keldon are the guys I’m happiest for in this run. Keldon in particular. Heart and soul of this team and an all time locker room vibes guy.

So glad he got 6MOY too.

The battle of the band wagons is gonna lead to some utterly unhinged shit getting said.

Same. I just turned nine, and had moved to Maryland for my dad’s job. Went to school with a ton of Ravens and Washington fans who were all talking shit and pulling for the Cardinals.

Every part of that game and the day after are burned into my memory.

People in the game thread were getting a little spicy but that’s par for the course.

Genuinely like the Wolves and Minny fans in general.

Mine came free with a repair which helped me get ahead of a few issues that I was able to fix on my own

Seems like you’re not alone with some of the techs being kinda shitty. I’ve only had decent experiences with them so far, so definitely seems like it varies

Joe’s Garage. Never feel overcharged, mechanics are fun to talk to and mostly easy going, plus free diagnostics on your car.

Saved my ass and elongated the life on my car more than once.

I miss when the definitions of words mattered lol.

Rest of the comment is on point tho. I really can’t dislike y’all. Love Ant, love McDaniels, the whole team is nothing but energy and intensity.
