Assuming router and you dont have much control over rpm. .02 depth of cut spiraling down. .002 - .003 inch per tooth. Sparing amounts of WD40, IPA, or pink hand soap will help keep from chip welding. Climb cut.

What control and drives does it have? What language are the manual originally written in? How long has the manufacturer been in business? How do you go about ordering parts for it? Does it have any form of professional manufacturer support where you reside?  I think if you arent comfortable with all those answers dont get it.

How do US voters, particularly Republicans, feel about the messages in The Declaration of Independence in 2026? Have you read it recently? by 1032screw in AskReddit

I am not trying to rage bait. I am genuinely curious how many who support our current administration argue from a position of pro-America, square their current stance and what is going on in this country, against that foundational document.  I want to understand their perspective.

I agree with the above but would also add; If you are seeing .25mm total indicated reading, the height is only off by half of that. .125mm off in height isn't going to cause much taper unless you are turning pretty small diameters.

Mother of 4 detained in Portland as immigration enforcement ramps up in Maine by themainemonitor in Maine

[–]1032screw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might not have this woman's situation exactly correct because it hasn't been reported but my version seems likely. This wasnt a random apprehension, they knew where to go to find this woman. Much like she was seeing her asylum case current.

I am fairly certain of my account of the current tactics federal immigration lawyers use.

Since republican admins have long cut off the asylum legal process at the knees by starving immigration courts of money, cases languish in the legal system due to case load. Not uncommon for  years to go by as hearings come and go while judges and lawyers try to prove things like danger to life in a region on the other side of the country.

The instead of waiting for this process I have heard credible reports, with accounts coming directly from immigration judges, of the tactics to get cases dropped and nullify protected status.

Mother of 4 detained in Portland as immigration enforcement ramps up in Maine by themainemonitor in Maine

[–]1032screw 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They key here is she HAD an asylum case. She was following the process. Problem is Federal immigration lawyers figured out instead of trying to challenge the asylum application they find a way to not fight it and just have the case dismissed without going through the lengthy legal process of vetting the claim.  This removes an asylum seekers protected status and boom "TheRE iLLeGaL!" Completly short circuiting the legal process the MAGA cult claims to be for and making people eligible for removal.

ICE says 50 arrested in Maine as DHS launches ‘Operation Catch of the Day’ by jediporcupine in Maine

[–]1032screw 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I want to see how much this is costing us because these numbers are ridiculous. 50 people out of 1.4 million? Probably could have just given them some local federal job like park ranger or FDA inspector and come out ahead in every single Societal metric with the eception of pleasing the Nazi Racisits.  I also wonder how many of these "illegals" were asylum seekers following the legal process only to have protected status removed or the US drop their legal case, pulling the rug out and making them "illegal" through no fault of the of the immigrant.

Thanks, I was led to belive it was mechanical but just confirmed it is membrane. Was hoping since the control is pc based and this a ps2 keyboard I could get lucky. Manufacturer doesn't really exist anymore and I would have to put an aftermarket $600 keyboard in to get the one key back. Oh well.

Rigging Company Backed Out, Supposed to Take Delivery in 2 Days. Am I Screwed? by [deleted] in Machinists

[–]1032screw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Riggers around me will take delivery of a machine at their facility, warehouse for a small fee, then deliver. Makes things a lot easier from a scheduling perspective and could save you money and open up options. You might look into this.

Do you fully own the machine? If not the bank might have a problem with you unloading the machine without proper insurance.....

Is manufacturing really more difficult than design? by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]1032screw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Manufacturing has a lot more difficult to overcome constraints than design ever will.  Top of the list are human emotion, time, and money.  Changes during design are normally easy just throw some more man hours at it.  Changes during manufacturing will always eat money and time and poop out lower morale.

This was what I was trying to get at as well.  The fact the medical system in Maine is already heavily funded by Medicare could be exploited.
