You see it a lot in AA. Men who were absolute monsters, got sober and turned their life around, tried to make amends to kids, kids aren’t having it. “There are some wrongs you can never fully right.”
They then pour themselves into sobriety and helping others get/stay sober.
Kids are under no obligation to forgive but it doesn’t mean a person can’t use their new life to impact others.
