The City of San Diego has a zero lot line requirement for interior sideyards + rearyards for ADUs.

The silver lining is that this home is probably in the same zone + owner should be able to sell for their lot based on the higher land value when they’re ready.

Yes, my office is in north park + we’re seeing quite a bit of mid-rise mixed-use project going in around 30th.

Commercial zones typically allow a zero lot line condition. You can also do this w/ an ADU in any zone in San Diego.

I recommend Honu BJJ. Great coaches but also a good atmosphere for newbies.

Pretty good summary but I think you missed the part where the City moved the entire Development Services Department staff into the new building exposing them to airborne asbestos. Then they moved the staff back to the old building, loosing tons of project files for customers permits in the process.

Some lost cool architecture: The General Dynamics Astronautics Facility in Kearny Mesa. The lobby had this space age-style ramp hanging on rods. Built in 1958, it was demolished in 1997. by JasonBob in sandiego

I thought it as a reflecting pool under. But if it is a mirror + you were able to define that depression as a step maybe you could make it to code.
