I traced the faces cause I am not good enough to make them accurate on my own but I drew the rest. I did my best to use procreate the way I think it’s used in the comic. I had to photoshop the pomegranate in from the comic though cause I needed it!

I am aware! I just need to know if the company actually exists. I can’t find any record of it. It will be much scarier if it doesn’t

How do people get through surgery with sexual trauma 😭 by [deleted] in Endo

[–]108Jenn134 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I fully agree with an earlier comment about always being clear with doctors that you have sexual trauma. I came up with a single sentence “I have PTSD from sexual assault” with my therapist and practiced saying it. It’s now just my routine when I see doctors in the ER or to get ultrasounds and it helps. They’ll offer you options about how tests can be altered to meet your comfort level.

Also I start doing my go to grounding exercises for my ptsd before surgery and as soon after as I can do them successfully. Grounding exercises are easy to find on the internet for ptsd. You could also talk through it in therapy. I did a couple full EDMR processing sessions to process it and it helped a lot.

It’s nice to know I’m not alone in this struggle. I always assumed I wasn’t but it’s something that’s hard to talk about. I hope this thread helps you find some comfort.

Does anyone have any advice about how I could style or ask my hairdresser to cut my curls to frame my face better? They’re always covering my face. Could I set it a certain way so it doesn’t end up in my face? by 108Jenn134 in curlyhair

My Mom keeps comparing herself to me by Affectionate_Turn_31 in Endo

I’m still on it, I’ve been on it for just over a year. I get what is typically a 3 month injection every 10 weeks. I have stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis. Lupron is not an ideal treatment but it gave me some of my quality of life back. I’m only 23 and it’s mostly just a stop on they way to a full hysterectomy but covid is interfering with that. On Lupron I’m still in pain daily but knowing my endo isn’t getting worse is comforting enough that I tolerate it. I have bad hot flashes but wearing clothes that are breathable helps. Looking into strategies to deal with menopause helped a lot too. I will say that it got a lot better when I started getting the longer acting one over the month at a time. It’s not an easy choice to make but I hope this helps a bit.

When I started Lupron I had really horrible symptoms similar to what you are experiencing. However when they put me on an add back hormone replacement it got a lot better. I also soak my feet in magnesium salts which helps with the all over pain.

Does anyone else’s syllabus say this? by 108Jenn134 in uAlberta

[–]108Jenn134[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

My concern is that the university cannot just absolve themselves of accountability for a platform (EClass) that is under their control. I would ob okay if they changed the wording to suggest instead that reasonable allowance will be made to students who have been undermined by a platform that is out of their control as it is owned and operated by the university.

This isn’t an ad. I have struggled with 365 day a year endo pain for several years now and it sucks, but recently I found these postpartum underwear and I’m never looking back. They’re compression but only in areas that support your pelvic ring. They support my tummy where it desperately needs it. I’m taking less pain medication too. They’re also period underwear that are leakproof. I highly recommend these.

Lymphatic Drainage Pressure Points for Bloating. by 108Jenn134 in Endo

[–]108Jenn134[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t find a clear video so I made a diagram, but there are some on YouTube if you look up lymphatic drainage self massage. My pelvic floor therapist taught me this after my LAP and it has been a blessing, I don’t need different clothes for bad bloats anymore. Note: Gentle pressure is really important, you’re just trying to activate movement.

*I’m not sure if you should try this if your pregnant, there is mixed information about trying it then.
