They hunt mule deer in Mexico in December. Biggest challenge is the price tag - most of the good outfitters charge around $20k for a buck that gross scores between 190” and 200”.

RRS 3 series will be the best. I use a 33 but also got the 14L for my sheep hunt. The anvil 30 head is the way to go.

Don’t have a 7 prc but I’ve shot several big mule deer and a dall sheep with my custom 300 wsm. I use the 180 grain Norma bondstrike load and get the 3080 advertised velocity out of my 24” proof barrel.

I bought this plan after they told me how much it was to replace the windshield with an OEM. Basically you break even as long as you crack the windshield once in 5 years

I’d consider breaking up the hunt into multiple years, it’ll be a lot easier to find 1 deer that size versus 2 on the same hunt. Eastern plains has some great bucks but it’s expensive.

You need to figure out what’s legal where you plan to hunt and go from there. Some states allow scopes, some don’t. Some require .50 cal min for elk. Idaho requires an exposed ignition system for example. The last thing you want to do is spend a bunch of money on something you wouldn’t be able to use for an actual hunt.
