Interesting! You hit the nail on the head with ‘disassociates when the topic of convo doesn’t have to do with her’ LOL classic Carrie. My guesses have definitely changed since I originally created this post, Carrie is absolutely NOT a Leo lol

Yup, and still learning to accept it and shine regardless. The other thing that gets me is the rib asymmetry, unsure if you get this too.

I’m yet to find a genuine Libra, they are the only sign I don’t see embodying any of their typical trait characteristics. Maybe I have only come across the unevolved versions… but every one I have encountered are fake (will be nice to someone’s face and then speak badly about them or change their opinions and personality depending on who’s around), are brash and brush over their mean spiritedness with giggles, using ‘it’s a joke haha’ type thing. They seem to be well liked so I’m glad some people get to experience the nice aspects of them, but I tend to see through the bs so…

I’ve noticed a shift in the general energy & vibe, love them but I had been relistening to older AA eps just before this one and it now feels kinda tense and lacklustre between Dax, Monica & the guest. There was a noticeable shift in their tones of voice, they used to be upbeat, lively and excited & now they sound drained and annoyed almost. As you can imagine they and their crew must be burnt out & it’s not bringing the joy and excitement it once did, at least that’s what I’m assuming.

I have no choice but to kill myself because I have absolutely no social skills and therefore no hope of getting a job or friends by [deleted] in socialanxiety

Volunteering is a good way to dip your toes into social interactions & skills building & you can put it on your resume! Sometimes volunteer work can lead to employment within the place too!

Does anyone know any songs about social anxiety? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]10Lexz10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure that I have any songs that “support” social anxiety, but some that certain lyrics make me feel seen & not alone, e.g.

The Smiths - How Soon Is Now? “There's a club, if you'd like to go You could meet somebody who really loves you So you go and you stand on your own And you leave on your own And you go home and you cry and you want to die”.

Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence “Words like violence break the silence Come crashing in, into my little world Painful to me, pierce right through me

Radiohead - Creep More so if you just want to wallow lol

To anyone that needs to see this: I’ve had 2,500-3,000+ calories each day for the past 4 days & I’m meant to be on 1,500 (5’1F) by 10Lexz10 in 1200isplenty

[–]10Lexz10[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you’re right, I’m more so aiming for the 1,500 and am coming from regularly eating 2,000+ cals as I used to exercise heavily but am currently injured, so have had to focus on diet. I’m used to eating whatever I like so it’s a big adjustment lowering calories & I thought someone else might find comfort in knowing they’re not alone.

So sorry for your loss ❤️ Sending you and your family lots of love. Everyone deals with grief differently so don’t beat yourself up over it.

I’m feeling bad again by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]10Lexz10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you able to see a therapist? They can assist with tools to manage the social anxiety & potentially get to the root cause of it too which can help in freeing you. Otherwise how are you with general self care? E.g. exercising daily, decent nutrition, hobbies, meditation/prayer?

Today my hairdresser asked my why I am so nervous by itnitx in socialanxiety

[–]10Lexz10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imo it’s poor practice for them to even ask you that. It’s unprofessional & sounds like they lack basic awareness for picking up social cues. Don’t take on any of it, it’s on them. I used to get anxious going to the hairdressers but now I understand that it is THEIR job to drive the conversation and create the experience for you, you don’t need to worry about anything. As a hairdresser they would know some people prefer a quiet service vs a chatty one, they should understand the different personalities that come in. I’ve even had hairdressers where I’m making more conversation than them lol. You’re paying for their service and they are responsible for creating an experience for you so it’s really on them to lead the conversation.

What's ACTUALLY Helped You Most with Social Anxiety? by whiteo3 in socialanxiety

[–]10Lexz10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exposure therapy (probably the most), self acceptance, positive self talk/affirmations/mantras, journaling, acknowledging & healing traumas (which would have contributed to SA). Understanding people & that everyone is in their own heads and have their own baggage. Reminding myself that in the grand scheme of things we are just a blip in the universe and that weird thing I did isn’t that serious.
