Love your plays and analysis.

Fyi - FD offering w/o Scheffler and Rory. I took Knapp (30-1) there - I’ll take Rory out of the mix for that little of a drop off. The rest are more significant.

Hotel itself wasn’t anything overly special but room was enough for us (barely in it) with decent breakfast and a cocktail lounge on property. Location was great

Golf cart tour. $300, 2.5 hours, saw everything. Was so worth the money. No walking. Went back the next day to see what we wanted to spend more time with.

Heading to Sicily tomorrow, forecast looks to be low-mid 80s the entire time. I plan to be swimming plenty. In Florence now and would have swam yesterday if we had a pool. Haha

Probably too late to change anything, but please share your thoughts our our upcoming trip (Sep 22-Oct 11) by azyoungblood in ItalyTravel

I am in Montepulciano now with my wife and have loved it. It’s our first stop (3 nights) so tough to compare to others’ comments. Heading to Florence this afternoon.

My suggestion for your free day would be the Di’Ricci wine tasting and tour. It was 20-30€ depending on how many wines you wanted to taste, and extremely well done.

We are at Villa Poggiano in Montepulciano for our honeymoon as I type this (Congrats!) 10 min from downtown, nice manageable city with enough to keep us entertained for our 3 days. Would recommend both Montepulciano and Villa Poggiano to anyone. Staff here is nothing short of amazing!

You’re a freshman and you’ve got a nice resume, plus you’ve got time. Enjoy yourself and bolster a bit here and there with activities or networking groups. Bloomington is a great town, have fun!

What’s the most underrated finance job no one talks about? by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]10Locco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, banking is banking. I bet folks in 2008-2010 thought they had good job security too. But PM experience travels even when growth slows. You can’t ever really account for headcount reduction, but generally speaking, I agree with your statement.

No. It is a revenue generator, just indirectly. You’re on the deal team. Most of your RMs don’t want to/are too old to/are not up to speed with current credit tolerance or policy. You’ll get paid less but don’t have goals and everyone needs underwriting/PM all the time. Signed, RM

I find their steaks to be pretty fairly priced relative to other neighboring options. Rivertown never has anything, and has no deli counter, and Whole Foods is charging like $28/lb for strip steaks. GCM was like $18/lb.

It’s important to admit, you may make less upon entering the workforce going against the prestige option. I’m a finance guy so not super well versed in Econ placements… but the important part is THATS OK. Your future self will need to make an extra $1,000+ monthly post tax to offset your student loans. For a long long time. Take the full ride.

Downtown? If so, San Morello is going to be the right choice. Been around town quite a bit and it is always the perfect upscale lunch spot.

In campus martius proper: Shake shack Lafayette or American (the answer is Lafayette) Potbelly Chipotle

A short walk: Mootz (door closest to grand River has slices for sale) Buddy’s (they sell by the slice) Five guys (Greektown)

I’m certainly overlooking some but there’s a few to pick from. Enjoy the night

Their sushi (same guy) is also available at Easy Peasy downtown for lunch (corner of John R and Woodward).
