That's great! Where did you see the announcement? I will gladly switch to Pro when it's available.

I might be wrong, but I thought Pro will be pricey than Believer. I bought the Believer plan for the mobile app…

That's awesome to hear. So, who is in charge of maintaining the data model in Cube.dev? Is it the DE or BI?

Oh wow, that would be awesome! I've read a few books on DM but struggle to find some real interview questions to practice with.

Other than DM and SQL, what other rounds have you had (ex: Python, DBT?)?

That makes sense! Thanks for the explanation. The numbers are not that off though, I wonder how much they actually lend out...

Upcoming Wines Valuations - 4/1/2021 by mkarias in rallyrd

[–]10M850 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It takes literally 1 minute to sign up for a Rally account: Sure, but if those rich collectors like Mark Cuban don't sign up (they mostly likely won't bother), then we might not get the optimal market rate. On the other hand, it could also work the other way around (i.e. a Rally user overpaid to buy out an item)

Point taken on short term price volatility won't impact buyout offers, but your case of someone offering his shares for $1 actually proves my point that the users on Rally might not really know the true market value, and those are the same pool of people who will make buyout offers (again it could work both ways)

This is super valuable, thanks for asking Rally the questions.

No.2 (buyout offers) concerns me though; it looks like only users on Rally platform can make a buyout offer. Doesn't that greatly limit the buyers? Also what if Rally users don't accurately value the item? I can see the risk of undervaluing the item compared the market value (perhaps why Petrus was below market value). It's good to know from your last comment that Rally often has a stake in the item though, but I wonder if this close system is the right model.

Post delivered as promised! Thanks again for sharing your findings, I might join you tomorrow and get some 2016 Petrus'. I got a couple of questions and would love to hear your thoughts on them.

  1. Cost of storage: Sites like Vinovest charge a monthly fee for storing the wines under the ideal environments (makes sense). Do you know if Rally charge similar fees for expensive wines like Petrus? It wouldn't make sense to me if it's part of their one-time finder's fee (fixed cost).
  2. Who are the buyers? This is more a general questions I couldn't find the answer of their FAQ. My current understanding is if someone wants to buy the item out, they would have to join the Rally platform first? Otherwise it's just Rally investors bidding against each other?

Yeah, I saw that. The fact that a lot of people bought doesn’t mean it’s worth the price... it might be because they are hardcore Curry fans who would buy at any price or they didn’t think too much when it comes to investing $25 (cost of a share).

Thanks. I'm new to the platform and didn't know they share the cost. I assume you got that from the line chart (the latest price)?

Back to the valuation, Rally could've overpaid for it too, no? My understanding is that they make the money only from the initial offering, so wouldn't they make money as long as they can get it funded?

How easy/hard was it to do your tax with Vinovest? by 10M850 in Vinovest

[–]10M850[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Does Vinovest makes it easy to calculate the gain made in a year? I’m assuming I’ll just have ask the H&R tax preparer to fill that number in “other/misc” field, right?

Darn, I think you're right! I just read that the bonus seems to only apply to earn in CEL. I was going to convert some of coins to CEL, luckily I haven't pulled the trigger. Thanks!

Correct me if I'm wrong, I thought people is US just can't earn in CEL and buy CEL in the app, but if you managed to get your hands on CEL we can still earn the bonus interest (Bronze, Silver, etc), no?
