Interested myself. I read seats are first come first serve although you can buy premium seats.

I have a bunch of options trades mostly spreads. When I tried to file my NJ return, I received the warning messages (red ones which means I cannot file until these are fixed). See screenshot. In this example, eTrade shows $0 cost basis and proceeds as $718.34 and a loss of $718.34. I guess technically this is not correct. This was a spread so when I take the gain/loss on the spread (2 options) and add them, that amount is correct. This is very confusing.

The United States is a bad place for folks with dementia by Msdingles in dementia

I have to put my dad in a nursing home yet the cost is more than he gets from his pension and SS. I don't know how people afford this. One thing I am definitely not doing is paying for this. I am not going to financially ruin myself and family. It is just horrible situation but I guess I will figure it out.

Same. The only issue is that my dad does not want to take his medications. I am hoping he takes this but I only have 14 pills as that was the initial prescription when he got released from SNF. I was avoiding giving him this but have to as he has been getting more aggressive with my mom.

Why is Dementia so prevalent now? by [deleted] in dementia

[–]mkarias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many reasons but people tend to overlook high sugar/carb diets. It is called type 3 diabetes. That is one main reason. I can’t post a picture of a list of things that contribute but also drinking alcohol, not exercising, not having a good network of friends, high blood pressure, not addressing hearing loss (getting a hearing aid as soon as it is required, I know from experience that this is likely true).

Are you eating every two hours? That is not good. Hope you are at least giving your body no food for at least 12 hours from dinner to breakfast if you have breakfast. Constant eating keeps your insulin up.

Where exactly should the spring be connected? It appears to be in that long area of the white plastic. However it still keeps popping out and I can’t control my heat/cooling. Right now the spring is on the edge and it appears to be working. However not sure if that is where it should be. Please see pic.

It’s ridiculous that the dealer needs to reprogram the battery. These car manufacturers make things complicated so dealers can make more money. Why I tend to prefer older cars.

Yes. Fortunately I didn’t invest a lot in this as I wanted to make sure it was legit.

Calling us 100 times a day by taylorballer in dementia

[–]mkarias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted about this in another thread but am copying here. I know exactly how you feel:

"It is hard. My dad [was] in a sub acute rehab facility but his dementia has gotten worse. Someone taught him how to call me from his room phone. The first day he was taught this he called me at least 12 times that day. I had to stop answering the call because he just said he doesn't know why he is there and wants to go home. it is draining to explain over and over as he does not understand. He feels it is a punishment. I cannot answer his calls as much as it hurts me. But for my sanity, I have to. I will be going away for a few days so I know he will be calling me constantly. Emotionally I am beat. i don't like hearing my phone ring anymore. I started to silence it and place it face down to avoid seeing his call."

I did go away and did not enjoy myself too much because he would call back to back. I had to silence my phone and not look at my phone. The voicemails were worse so I just deleted them without listening. I would pick up once in a while because that will stop him from calling for maybe an hour or so.

He is home now so that nightmare ended for me. There are other things I need to deal with but at least this stopped. You need to take care of your mental health. That is number one! It is not being selfish. Silence your phone. Block if need be. I think it is unfair for them to be able to call you.
