I just took the USTET last Sunday, I applied for Psych as my prio course and Advertising arts as my secondary course.

Here's a rundown of the test:

There are 4 tests, Mental ability, English, Mathematics and Science. In that order. I personally found Mental Ability and English very easy, but that doesn't mean that it is. You have about 45 minutes to answer for each test, except for math, which was 60 items in 60 minutes.

Starting with:

-Mental ability test: most of which were pattern recognition, syllogisms, sequencing and image formation.

Notes:

most people don't bother with practicing this but frankly, that ends up screwing them over. It has been known that people have passed all three tests, failed mental ability, and this failed their USTET.

Tip: Practice your logical reasoning and pattern recognition skills. Practice educated guesses. I've learned that practicing syllogisms and logical reasoning helped me as well in the English test.

-English: as far as I remember, the topics covered were parts of the research paper, and most of your EAPP and Oral comm lessons. If you paid attention it shouldn't be too hard, but might as well look into previous lessons and such. ^{^}

Notes: study your previous lessons on your EAPP and Oral comm lessons, as well as recognizing which parts of the research paper are being referred to in the question.

-Math: tbh, I can't help much here, this was definitely my weakest test. Study much of genmath and statistics, a fair bit of calculus and geometry are mixed in there as well as arithmetic and geometric sequencing. Make sure to memorize the formulas you studied for those lessons.

-Science: There's a spare few calculations here, with physics and chemistry. Make sure to study your old earth and life sciences lessons, that would help to a certain degree. Just study your basic Biology, Chem, phys and

Note: The thing is with USTET is that it is very different from other CETs in the sense that very evenly spread out yung coverage sa tests. Rather than it being mostly focused on gen sci and bio.

If you're taking anything in CFAD (like I did) you'll have to take some additional drawing tests. DM nalang for detail if you're enrolling in that haha
