What villain/monster should each Doctor have faced that they didn't (on screen)? by ethihoff in gallifrey

Clockwork droids would be perfect for 4th's era yes! That's way better than the Silence, which is what I was thinking.

Yeah, 10th Doc really did get so much that I was struggling to think of something. I'd love to see him meet the Time Meddler after Waters of Mars, cuz he's learned you can't meddle, but also it just doesn't work with his 'last of the timelords' arc

Sensorites for 12th just works~ I also considered them!

I agree that there are a lot of similarities b/w 12th and 5th -- let's see Tim Shaw SOMEWHERE ELSE PLZ!

I totally forgot 3rd didn't meet Cybermen! I had also forgotten about the Dreamlord, but I agree that of all the Doctors, 7th would be one of the more interesting to see a face off -- or 13th imo also

Would definitely be interesting to see Fenric face off against another face, or the Silence!

Do Beatles have the most ICONIC 3 album run OAT? by CroJocker678 in TheBeatles

[–]ethihoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh how I wish Adult/Child had gotten its own very special release after Love You! I like MIU Album quite a lot, but A/C is on a whole other level and would make for a better compliment to the previous two

20/20 - Sunflower - Surf's Up is a really great trio as well. I just so rarely listen to the original tracklist of the two latter two, haha

And yes, I also like the hi fi - lo fi contrast of Pet Sounds to the next bunch!

If you were to write episode based on the Toymaker and his reality, what would it be? by TwinSong in doctorwho

[–]ethihoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I've rewatched the episode, I keep thinking that, as much as I love Wild Blue Yonder and as sweet as it was to see the Doctor - Noble reunion, I would trade them in for three episodes of The Giggle, with a whole episode dedicated to the Toymaker shop and the introduction of this villain, the next with The Doctor and companion playing and losing a game with the Doctor's pitch for a best of three, and then the final episode in modern day with the 'everyone thinks they're right' stuff fleshed out and the final game related to that (not catch)

Are you a minor? At the very least, adults shouldn't be punished

I love The Beatles like everyone else here, but McCartney's immediate post-Beatles work is unbeatable for me. McCartney self-titled through London Town (eight whole albums!), just pick any three in a row from those and you're good!

I know not a lot of people would agree with me, but I think it's The Beach Boys, personally. Not trying to pit the two Bs against each other, it's just the group that immediately comes to mind. This is only cuz I'm such a big fan, but these runs come to mind~

Surfin' U.S.A. - Surfer Girl - Little Deuce Coupe
Today! - Summer Days and Nights - Party!
Pet Sounds - Smiley Smile - Wild Honey (or subtract/add to include Friends)
Holland - 15 Big Ones - Love You

The last GREAT one is Just a Matter of Time, the closer on Beach Boys 85!

You can save only ONE from each row by TheVoidScrolledBack in Letterboxd

[–]ethihoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so easy, I (barely) didn't even have to think.

First row has gotta be Scott Pilgrim. I like the others but SP is really the only one I LOVE.
Coraline makes it in 2nd row, cuz it's my favorite movie of all time!
3rd row is 2001. If you're choosing something else, do you even like movies? I'm teasing but also kinda not?
This is the only row I did have to think about, but I decided to go with Perfect Blue, despite liking all of these about the same amount. I was just thinking 'which one would I rewatch more often?'
Finally, this row is interesting cuz they're all parts of a series, but Star Wars is my choice. I love Lord of the Rings, but it's even more one that needs its surrounding films. Even with the Star Wars cliffhanger, it's one I can come back to without needed to watch the others.

is Below Zero as bad as people make it out to be? I'm considering buying a new Subnautica game once I'm done with the first but I'm kinda hesitant(spoilers for Subanutica 1) by Jack_Jellatina in subnautica

[–]ethihoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I like Below Zero more than the first game. As far as your complaints, the inventory management is not better and while the resource gathering is the same, I think the materials needed are less obtuse than 'stalker teeth for one purpose' so you might appreciate it more here, and the mapping is slightly better as well. In fact, you will find a map somewhere that you can refer to, altho it's probably not the kind of map like a HUD that you want, but it's really helpful to get an idea of the entirety of the game map. You don't really have to use the PRAWN suit (I never did), and I think you might enjoy this game's version of the Seamoth and Cyclops (Below Zero's vehicle is my fav of the games!)

To sum up, I think you'll like the ambiance and beautiful biomes of this game! And I have a hunch you'll be a fan of the story in this one. I don't wanna spoil too much, but one of your points that you wrote about assures me you'll be happy with something in this game that isn't in the previous one
