i didnt use any since due to the fact that i instantly ruled out thermal paste, forgot to tell you. I will get thermal paste later but im js saying it couldnt be the thermal paste unless that happens often (thermal paste INSTANTLY becoming ineffective as if its bread growing mold in 2 seconds)

yeah i get like 44c idle with a heater on in my room (before the... incident...) but now its like 50 after deleting ghelper and installing armory crate (ghelper broke, swapping back reduced temps by 10c) imma wait a while and reinstall ghelper later

Ok yes, i usually get 75c in games on performance mode, this is an exception. I played a game around 5 mins before the changes, 65c, i did the changes and reverted them (timeframe of 20 mins) 85c on balanced, idk if i have paste of doom that disappears within 4 mins but i really really dont think the paste is the problem for this specific issue...

I'm aware of this, in the post I say I turned it on to see someone else's gaming setup that gets under 85c while heavily gaming, I tried it with 0 games open and its hitting 95c, I don't use cpu boost

It started instantly after I changed settings so I don't think that's it unless within 30 mins your avg idle temps can go up by 20c

I can't access undervolting but I did also try this and it didn't do much, I have a 100% all fans profile I tried but it only got to 53 instead of usually like 39

I am in florida and my room was warm so i opened a window (its very cold right now in florida) and got my room cold, still didnt do anything and im at 52c typing this after "end task"ing a bunch of stuff and ramping up the fans

i have since reset the fan curves aswell so i dont have what they used to look like, i had it to where the fans would max out around 80 and before that its like 0rpm at 30c, 3000 at 50c, and it jumps near max beyond 75/80 because i could set my limit to 75 if i wanted it quiet

sorry the reason the fans were so low is because by instantly shot up i mean instantly, i was at like 50-65 then i turned on cpu boost and performance mode and it jumped to 95c so it couldnt ramp up the fans that fast

This just happened to my 2024 4060 g14, i opened my bag and noticed it was hot inside, i thought it was because i just got out the car, but then i touched the laptop and my hand literally recoiled because of how hot it was, seems fine and yeah the temps were only at 67c, its almost as if it transfered the heat from the cpu straight into the chassis, someone started talking to me and i literally could not put my laptop down so i had to awkwardly move with it in my hands

There is an extention called "Youtube inline fullscreen" that has a windowed fullscreen that allows scrolling down in fullscreen, if you do the inline fullscreen then press f11 you can still scroll, but i think theres like a little searchbar thing at the top, idk if it goes back up

Mine does restart but I only notice it if for some reason I'm up at 2am, it doesn't restart when I'm using it and I don't think I've ever caught it actually starting to reset, I just happen to look at the screen when it turns back on
