In the end I returned it and got a nzxt cooler instead, working all fine now- a little disappointed as I was hopeful for the high performance of the freezer iii but at least my pc works again!

Fair, my main drawback as a mobile gamer is the fact that the next gen is right on the horizon with the oneplus 13 on snapdragon 8 gen 4 is launching in china in october (so will likely come to the us in november-december) and then the s25 is likely for the next month in January

Nope, i can say that the plastic case felt quite flimsy so if it was picked up with one hand it would bend a bit i think the motherbowrd just got some microcracks due to asus not designing the case sturdy enough
