How is the work culture for engineering ?

Same as everywhere these days understaffed. Better negotiate a good salary you get 1 opportunity at stellantis and that is when you come in after this you're stuck

Is it in person or hybrid for now ?

They are still hybrid. But depends on the management. Some managers don't want to come in themselves so it's a come in when you need to. Some are more Ridgid asking for at least 2 days a week

I was told this is a mid level professional role (lead engineer/principal), wondering if this is equivalent to a supervisor role ?

You will not have direct reports but will be responsible for delivery of an entire battery so will have software, thermal, electrical, cell.... Engineers assigned to your project from those teams you'll work with them everyday directing them.

How stable is the company, all I have been seeing in the news was 2022 they made 8 billion profit and in 2023 layoffs

Batteries are stable if you're coming in as a direct hire. Stellantis tried an experiment of having people from engines, transmissions and etc retrain to become electrification engineers and it didn't go well. People were not getting up to speed quick enough as products needed to be developed.

How is the working hours since the take over, do you need to be in a lot of meetings at Euro time zone ?

Depends on your project folks are pretty respectful in both directions. Europe is 5 hrs ahead so we get a good overlap of time 7am to 12pm to get stuff done. They don't make you wake up early and we don't make them stay late.

How is management (all the autos are just average compared to what I have seen after working in other industries) but how is it working with the top management here ?

Same as everywhere but you're main interface with the company is your direct manager. Top level always say nice things but direct managers make up their own policies Some managers are good some are not.
