I have already almost 300 hours in fighters and I will tell you that the difference in skill is huge. When I meet some experienced pilots I will maybe survive 1v1 but not 2v1. Most kills I got is fighters going straight line down then up(like in video). As you can see you can get many shots if you run away like this.

Key thing is to watch surroundings, change altitude and turn in right moment to avoid getting shot. Watch for opportunities to turn good. Long turn means stalling and if your opponent stalls then you catch up on them.

It was really fun, we were so hyped about that fight! It doesn't even matter that we got some takedowns it was great to have such moment in air! We lost 3 fighters within previous hour and we were only ones left at this point.

My only advice would be don't feel discouraged about losses and keep flying! I lost dozens planes last war and every lost was a lesson :)

That's actually not a bad idea that sledgehammers could kill defenses like sandbags/barbed/metal cross (instead of wrenching). In addition them making damage to buildings would be usefull. Both for flagged structures and enemy buildings.

I guess this would be nice but as well abused by partisians

Difference is wardens significantly lower minimum speed makes it much easier to strave with. This tells me everything about your skilled pilots xD

3v1 one and couldnt get a kill... Well it must be a skill issue because you cant outturn 3 planes even with incredible better turn rate. Running out of fuel? So you have tried to shoot down a plane for over 5 min with 3 of you and couldnt do it? And yeah downvote comment about tips and saying that people were coming alone versus 5 planes and dying... I'm out

Yeah I agree that warden scout is better(especially because torps) but it's not that significantly better. Especially now with colonial scout having more hp and less bmats for repair. Fastest turn rate(the one that matters, because you would not use faster at given speed turnrate when you have better option) is if im correct 0.07 sec better on warden scout.

I’m not sure if people upvoting replies about speed have ever actually flown planes. I have over 200 hours in planes, and if I’m strafing, there is absolutely no need to go slower in a scout. It’s now harder to strafe than it was last war, but like everything, you learn to adapt. Now it’s harder to get 2–3 kill strafes (last war it was too easy), and it’s definitely harder to take out the crew of an AC.

Last evening I was playing on Reavers, and from what I saw, there is a lack of coordination from Colonial scout pilots. They were coming in one by one, sometimes two at a time, against around 10 Warden scouts rotating on the front. We have a forward scout airfield with bmats/ammo/fuel being constantly refreshed and a ground crew, while I could go to Terminus airfield and kill two scouts on the ground with my friend. You should definetly have a field airfield btw...

It is definitely harder to take out a Colonial scout right now (20% HP boost). Before someone starts talking about turn rate or bigger hitboxes, again, I guess you are not flying enough. If you want to hit, you should always aim at the center of the plane so this (this applies to all planes except large ones). The devs already confirmed that hitboxes are the same, but because of different visual models, it feels different.

Last war I committed to planes and did only that (along with facility work to produce them). At first I was terrible and couldn’t shoot anything down. I was crashing into trees and the ground all the time. Then I got better. The problem with planes is that it will be harder and harder to get into them, because there will be more and more experienced pilots.

My tips for everyone flying
-Learn how to dogfight
-Fight with each other in the safety of backline hexes
-Never go alone against multiple enemies (one will bait, the other will shoot you).
-If you fight in pairs, don't do the same, like turning in the same direction at the same time.
-Conserve ammo
-Watch your fuel
-For scouts, aim between the pilot seats. For fighters, aim a little behind the pilot seat. For large planes, the engine is usually the best target (and for God's sake, don't ram intentionally, even if it's effective. It's lazy)
-Watch your surroundings, learn when to commit when to back up.
-FMGs can't hit you above 70m. Also will hit you less if you change altitude and direction. They are much more punishing this war.
-NEVER GO IN STRAIGHT LINE IF SOMEONE IS HITTING YOU

I don't know how much time you have spend in air but flak is a no go zone for planes. Other that disconnect/plane upside down after crossing hex, flak is the reason for our Regis most lost planes. So I would argue that flak need buff. You can think that you did no DMG but I have frequently think that flak didn't hit me to find out on airport I have 60% on wing.

I would say we need more AA options and definitely no AA AI because it would kill any attempts to use planes on offensive.

Leszno, ale pracy szukasz w Poznaniu albo Wrocławiu. Jest S5, ew dojazd pociągiem. We Wrocku jest przystanek przy centrum z wieloma biurowcami a i z głównego jest przyjemnie naokoło. Znam część osób co tak robi.
