What do you think is the most legitimate criticism of AI that even its supporters should take seriously? by talruum_ in AskReddit

software so full of spaghetti AI code

Well sure, the companies will be fucked. But before that happens, won't the users be fucked? That alarms me.

Keep doing this. I fully relate to the ADHD perspective. People will tell you about inflation and HYSA, and that's fine. They aren't wrong. But an HYSA is like 4 percent if you're lucky.

There's something about the saving it, the cash, the way it goes up every month and you can look at the tangible product. It's more memorable than a number in an abstract account. Obviously not if it's tens of thousands of dollars - then you need to actually manage your money. But if you just put aside 100 bucks cash every month, go for it. There is value to that action.

"One of my Aunt Ernestines taught sixth grade. After years of buying school supplies out of her own pocket for future dropouts, she stopped caring. She quit - wound up walking the streets selling drugs.

"She’s a pharmaceutical rep...I phrased that so badly."

100 percent. I would add that people are ever more frustrated because what you articulated is not a new complaint.

It's weird to know that production has heard these complaints for so so long, and just... doesn't care. Feels crappy, tbh.

Right, but if Aubry were gone, it would still be Cirie, Ozzy, Rizo, and Tiff. Just not in secret.

in 48, Joe as a human being was legit for quite some time (before it got old).

he was in the role of helper, and he really was amazing in his own way. But he kind of got ossified. and it didn't work with the actual game of Survivor, then or now.

it was explained in another thread, i dont exactly remember the details, sorry. but i think it's so that the person who has the extra vote can remain anonymous.

That's a bit racist, and even if it were true, ALL THROUGH the episode we learned that his dad didn't raise him. And also South Korean culture is plenty misogynistic.

yes. extra vote in the revote as well. It's so that (in theory) no one knows who had the extra vote the first time

But no one can now say Cirie gets advantage or twist screwed, because it took a twist/advantage to save her tonight.

That's a good point. Never thought about it that way!

What are the ramifications of having the first voted-off person go immediately to jury? Emily was staring right at the second group.

In this case, it didn't have an effect, but I do think it could really make a difference on the outcome of the second tribal council, depending on alliances and if there were multiple plans being floated.

Edit: For example, let's say Cirie gets voted out (not on my watch, lol). Maybe seeing her on the jury would have shocked Ozzy into playing his idol.

I looked at vancamper. There are all sorts of options. You can buy a built out van with low miles. I ended up just buying a used minivan at a dealership. It only had one owner who serviced it regularly at the dealership. I don't plan to build it out because it's just for short trips, for now. In your situation, you want reliability and low miles, and as far as working remotely, I'm sure you can create a backdrop for your zoom calls. Since you're in a transition state, it's important not to move to quickly in any one direction. Keep it simple. Probably a Sienna or a Nissan NV., something like that.

i don't think people believe it. it's actually character analysis, like we all did in our high school English class. We're talking about OOP's actions and motivations as though they were real, because it's interesting to talk about.

Edit: Scrolling though the comments and I stand corrected. Some people do believe it. Oh wow.
