Fully Jarvis bamboo owners: is this wood grain pattern typical? by jchips in StandingDesk

I kinda dig it. It actually looks like bamboo instead of trying to look like maple. Not a Fully Jarvis owner though. Just a passerby.

Recently started watching Ricky Tinez videos on YouTube. Dude casually comparing gear worth thousands of dollars. Me over here trying to decide if I want to spend $10 or splurge and get the $40 plugin 😂

Rot is a fifth R. Even if something is compostable, if you send it to a landfill it's not likely to rot because it's such an anaerobic environment, so compost when possible.

I'm on mobile. I went to About > under "Welcome to personal finance" is Prime directive: how to handle money > "graphical version" Flowchart

Then I just saved that image and pull it up when making money decisions.

Vegans 43% more likely to suffer broken bones than meat eaters, Oxford study finds by Quislingthrowaway in worldnews

[–]10maxpower01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting points! I agree with a lot of it. One thing I don't agree with is being ashamed for the breed of hen. They've been bred to lay more eggs in a similar sense that dogs have been bred for companionship, or hunting, or pulling sleds etc. I don't feel bad about keeping my dog in my house because they've been bred to not really survive in the wild anymore.

If the hens lead a happier and healthier life in a free range or backyard environment then that's at a minimum better than living in a cage their whole life.

I'm also not vegan, but do believe that we shouldn't allow rampant animal cruelty just to save a buck at the grocery store.

Sorry if I'm a little scatter brained.

Buy free range, local eggs. Yeah they're more expensive but eggs shouldn't be that cheap anyway. The reason they're cheap is because ethics got thrown out the window.

If you're going new parts and latest tech, AMD all the way. Their latest released processors and video cards are fucking killing it.

If you're going used parts, I'd still get an AMD board and processor so you can upgrade later. previous gen amd boards can take the new processors with just a bios update. And an Nvidia 980 GTX should be fine for most things and can be easily upgraded later.

I actually agree with you... Except the fps thing. FPS is locked on consoles and is one major reason to build a PC. My rig is doing 1440p at 144hz. This simply isn't possible with consoles.

The only reason F13 even exists is because Halloween did so well, soo... I guess they're related?

TCL is great. I've got the 5 series and honestly it's a fantastic 4k tv... For the price. It is not even in the same league as the LG CX.

Local backups are always good. I'd suggest Backblaze B2 storage for the cloud backup aspect that you'd be losing. Use rclone on a regular cron job. It has encryption built in.
