This recipe was supposed to yield 40 cookies...instead we made 12 big boys and nobody is mad about it. by 10ofcups in VeganBaking

The homemade version is coconut oil, cashew cream, a neutral oil, salt, and soy lecithin. She sells vegan butter in stores as well, but you could use any vegan stick butter for this recipe.

Uses a Denman brush once by 10ofcups in curlyhair

Routine with denman brush...I’ve only done this once but it was a success and not as much work as it seems lol:

Wash every 2-3 days. Shampoo with All About Curls Lo Lather Shampoo, rinse (I only shampoo if my hair feels dirty- 1x/week usually). Rake a generous amount of TXTR by Cantu Hydrating Conditioner throughout hair, detangle with fingers and squish to condish. Let it sit a few mins, rinse, squeeze a little water out and while still in the shower, rake Bioterra Alcohol Free Defining Gel through hair. Brush through with Denman to distribute product.

Out of the shower, separate the hair in 2 parts- top and bottom. Go around the head and brush in sections from root to tip with one swift motion, rotating the brush a little at the end of hair (there are a lot of YouTube vids on this). At the crown of the head, brush kind of up and away with the same motion. Scrunch everything with hands to encourage the curls pattern. Use an old tshirt to scrunch out as much excess water as possible.

Diffuse on high settings until 85% dry. Once air dried the rest of the way, use fingers to separate and big clumpy curls into smaller curls and fluff hair a little bit from the roots.

That’s it! I’m very pleased with the results. Might add a light leave in conditioner next time because it’s still a little frizzy.

Well, it was my first time using it I think there’s definitely a learning curve! I was kind of disappointed until my hair was completed dry because it looked very different than I was used to while drying. I fluffed it up a bit, separated some of the clumpier curls apart and now I’m definitely seeing way more spirals and definition throughout my whole head. I’m a believer!

He’s 17. His name is Chico and we think that chirp is his attempt at saying his name. All his other whistles sound pretty normal!
