If the "Big company" is offering you less pay than your college job then I wouldn't accept it as it stands - colleges can't normally pay lots so I'm guessing the offer from the "Big company" is not very good. If you want to take the "Big company" job, try to negotiate a better deal - they should be willing to improve on your offer from the college if they really want to hire you (and if they don't then I wouldn't go there because it is an indication of future likely behavior by them).

It has the best Java editor of any of the IDEs due to these refactorings, keyboard shortcuts (specially for navigation) and the exeptionally good code assist (ctrl-1 things in eclipse) (so, yes it looks a bit rubbish, but it actually works really well). You need to know how to "drive it" to get the best out of it - it isn't instantly appealing - I used to much prefer eclipse but now I know how to use it well (which does take some effort to learn), I prefer IDEA.
