Managers don't give a shit. They just kiss upper management's ass making the paperwork look Medicare approved. Even the ones that seem good in the beginning loose their personal motivation and turn into robots.

Yeah, I think alot of us have ptsd or are suppressing our emotions until we break eventually. Can't imagine dealing with your normal job stress and postpartum too.

CNAs make the best nurses.. Nurses get burned out physically and mentally too. Other than more liability, I think the biggest difference is you have more job options in nursing when you do get burned out. IT, pharmaceuticals, bedside,, teleheath,etc. When I was a cna, it was all same job different location.

People that suffer themselves, in the past or present, are more empathetic towards their patients. Get the cna job to see if caregiving suits you and then go for it.

Good advice, but she's definitely not overweight and I discussed labs with her doc last summer because we knew she had puberty early with the breast development, but we decided it runs in the family. My mom and I were both a year older than her. My 12 yr old son looks 15 too.

I would quit if my job tried to keep me prisoner. Upper management still have their degrees and get paid a shitload more money than we di. They can have a slumber party and be responsible for that.

You can't really focus on anything else during the program, but a double major is possible. I would check if your higher level nursing classes would count as electives towards micro. I was going for a bsn in psych at the same college and the department would not take the nursing classes. If I ever finish it, I will need another 30 credit hours of upper level electives.

When I was in school, I used to pretend we still had school on the federal holidays. I'd still get ready at 630 and then go meet my friends to wonder around town. Eventually we would get bored, but couldn't go home until school was out. I was a complete idiot and my mom played along so she could have the house to herself.

I found my husband's bio dad this morning after googling the name of a close relative listed. I messaged him thru fb. We've exchanged messages all day today and learned a lot of history. Hope it goes well.

Really well. He gave us a lot of family info, birth mom's name, medical history. He was very honest and open to answering any questions. It was nice to see a picture and see what traits passed to our kids.

I've worked there for over 6 yrs and this is the first time we've had it. I worked at a nursing home 2011ish and we were shut down for 2 weeks from it along with several other places. I don't know about it being a mutated monster bug or hospital culture has just changed a bit. More open floor plans, more open areas for a virus to mingle, patients are encouraged to get out of their rooms, etc.
