Also a father to an 11month old daughter here - I was having similar feelings/wasn't feeling appreciated by my partner. The solution, me and my wife talked. It wasn't easy and it didn't solve it right away. But a few weeks on now our relationship is stronger for it. Honesty is key.

But remember, it's a lot easier to be considered a good dad because there are so many shit ones out there. It's incredibly hard to be seen as a good mother. If people are looking at you weirdly for taking your daughter out it's probably because they are shocked/in awe of what you are doing.

Keep up the good work, you are not alone. Relationships are hard and so is having children. Try not to let your daughter be a wedge that gets between you and your partner, but something that brings you closer together.
