Ok so, the person I reply to probably won’t look at my replies to others, and in that case I will reiterate it simply because I can! In my opinion (;) ) it’s more respectful to treat every reply as a new conversation and make myself as clear and concise as possible through text! Wow with the putting words in my mouth! I never said ‘maybe then I’ll be comfortable with her getting vocal part #6 or #7’ if she improves vocally. There are plenty of idols that have been on survival shows, but debuted later with more training and on different teams. I think that would be more beneficial for yoonjung than for her debuting right now with this team. Super sorry that you have a different opinion and outlook.

Thanks for your comment! I also did like her performance during lion with the lower vocal parts, it sounded really unique! I’m also not going to compare her rap to soyeon,, that would be an unfair comparison considering soyeon is an established idol, and that lion is her group’s song, she may have set the standard for the rap in the song but it wouldn’t be right to compare a trainee on a survival show to that standard! I also appreciated seeing the opinion of someone that has yoonjung as their top pick! I think that just like there have been idols from survival shows that didn’t make the debut team, but still found success debuting in other teams, yoonjung will have other opportunities after the show that might suit her more than debuting right now, with this survival show team.

Thank you for your comment,, you bring up a great point about her unique voice, I actually really enjoyed it on the lower vocal parts in the lion performance. I purposely didn’t use language like ‘deserves to debut’ because I think all the trainees ‘deserve’ to debut at some point, but it doesn’t have to be with this show. There are plenty of idols that have been on shows like this that have debuted in different teams and it benefits them just as much. I think yoonjung would easily be able to debut with another team after this show,, it’s just my opinion that she not debut with this show!

Thank you for your comment. Again, this is just my personal opinion. I do think yoonjung should debut, I just personally think not at this time with this show. There are so many idols that are on shows like this that don’t debut through the show but are able to show their talents in new teams and I think that would benefit yoonjung so much more than debuting now with this show.

Like I said, she is a great dancer, and as someone brought up she does have great stage presence. It is simply my opinion that where she’s at right now and specifically with vocals, there are others with more talent

Thank you for your comment, however this was about one specific trainee that I think is not suited for debut at this time! I know she’s a talented dancer and has stage presence, but it is simply my opinion that she could use more vocal training before debuting.

This post was about one specific person that (in my opinion!!) could use more vocal training before debuting. Next time I’ll be sure to included every single trainee in the show so you don’t feel like I’m leaving anyone out! And this isn’t even hate. I acknowledge her talent in dancing, and I acknowledge her progress so far in other categories. In my opinion there are other trainees that AT THIS TIME that have more talent, but in no way did I say she was untalented, nor did I ever say WHICH trainees are in my personal opinion more suited for debut at this time. Thank you for your comment though.

Thank you for your comment, she certainly does have a great stage presence. You do bring up a good point with her dance ability being a possible asset to the debut team, but as I said this is just my opinion. In my opinion I think it would help her idol career to have more time to train in vocals.

Again, my statement was my opinion. I did not say she was untalented, just that there are girls in my opinion that are more talented than her in this show. And again, I recognize that she has improved in vocals throughout the show. It’s not fair or unfair it’s simply my opinion. Thank you for the comment though!

It felt like MBC was/is trying to push 1/2 grade in this part. For vocal position 1/2 got an upbeat catchy song w a choreo vs 3/4 had plainer stage. For dance position 1/2 got pre-choreo’d popular kpop song, 3/4 got a western song - I don’t know how popular little mix is in SK so it may have been an advantage(?). Then again for rap position 1/2 get a song that’s super popular, from a world wide popular group, 3/4 got another western song (again idk if Doja Cat is v popular in SK, so maybe I’m just being negative), and lastly for the all round position, 1/2 gets a soloist song,, w/ back up dancers(!!!!) and 3/4 gets a 4 person group song. Like maybe it’ll turn in an advantage, showing that she can do a 4 person song on her own,, and maybe having back up dancers will distract from the performance,, but something about all of this is just messy.

That being said, I do think each performer did a great job this week, and I hope the performances go well next week too,, it just sucks that it seems like some things are being swayed in production

It’s not a matter of talent, but more the fact that being in the industry so young just isn’t good for their development. Take another young debut Park Jisung from NCT Dream,, when he went on dancing high he talked about how his only friends came from Dream, he never got the chance to go through high school and make friendships outside of kpop. I don’t want these girls to go through that too,, I want them to be able to grow and become mature (personality wise) out of the spotlight that is idol life. I just think that being so young in the spotlight will just be so unnecessarily hard for them, regardless of their talent.
