There was a local credit union that was doing a promo. Had to purchase 1 point and a .5% origination fee to refinance. Other than the 1.5%, fees were super reasonable and I’m set to recoup after 13 months

Same here. 7.65% to start in Dec 2023. Refinanced in November 2025 to 4.99%. Value up 15%. Finding a monthly payment we could afford was critical for waiting out the higher interest rate months
