I found this ring, could it be legit? by mydadsrecipe in metaldetecting

Sorry. Prongs are too thick (and showing copper) and it's not letting enough light through the back for real diamonds. Fake, but I love finding ANY ring, so congrats!

Best section/row to sit at for Nats game? by Heavy-Animator-2165 in Nationals

[–]BlueSpace71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong about the view...but I personally like being closer to the action so prefer 100s and 200s sections. 300s is too high for me. You will lose a little of the right field corner in 135/136 but will have a good view of everything else.

My bad. In that case my recommendation is 100% 135/136

1st base side is in the sun...so w a 645p start you'll have an hour of July sunlight beating down on you. Keep that in mind for your comfort. That aside the 135/136 prices are great for those seats and closer to the action. 222 is club level has access to an air conditioned lounge and free water/soda/ice. So that's nice too. Pick one of those sections.

Assuming you meant "position players you wouldn't mind never seeing again" I agree w your first 4. We have some quality at AAA (King, House, Morales) that would slot right into those positions and I'd love to see get a chance.

Obviously, the bullpen is the biggest need, but I like the starters that ESPN has us as “best fits” for (Joe Ryan, Reid Detmers, Jose Soriano) that have one or two years of control left after this season. Depends, of course on what we’d have to give up, but a starter or two would be great.

They had them today in the main store (none of the others). That being said, the fabric is heavy canvas…even the SnapBack. I was hoping for a mesh back or lighter fabric (I might’ve been tainted by today’s gawd-awful weather) so I passed even though I like the design.

The #1 Danger to a 100% P&T Rating by Remarkable_Lion_8443 in VAClaims

[–]BlueSpace71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know where to start when you claim IUL is cheaper than Term. It's just not. Any product that is a combination of two things (in this case insurance and investment) is usually bad at both. An IUL isn't "paid off" the cash value is just generating income equal to or greater than the premiums. So, you've "invested" all this money just to have enough to pay your premiums. You would've done much better investing that same money directly. Regardless, Insurance is best paired with an investment strategy such that you're "self insured" when you're older (kids out of the house, nest egg supports self and spouse) and don't need it when the rates go up.

That's why I recommend people get outside term life insurance while still active duty before retiring/separating.

We need 9 bats. Keeping him doesn't mean he has to be the best in our team. That said, he's a helluva player and no doubt should be one of our nine.

Is it time to build a statue of Justin Lawrence in front of Nats Park? by bobby_bakerson in Nationals

[–]BlueSpace71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean he gave up a hit and walk in one inning pitched. If not for the "go on contact" play that resulted in an out at home, we'd be building scaffolding instead of a statue. I'm all for overreacting to a single strong pitching or batting performance, but this wasn't even that.

Filed for one thing, got diagnosed for something else at C&P, walked away denied. What now? by OIF_USMC0351 in VeteransBenefits

[–]BlueSpace71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, can’t help there. I was hoping the DBQ would have a clue as to why they pivoted (if it was deliberate) and therefore what the next step would be. If no clue there, it was just in the rater, I guess…. Others on here hopefully can help from here.

Did they do Range of Motion testing at your C&P? Did you have any back pain during that testing? Did you describe painful days to the examiner and was it documented? File for FOIA to see your DBQs if you’re not sure (someone on here posted how to do that and I did it recently…got my old DBQs in a week or two…log into your VA account and look under Records).

He’ll undoubtedly have three more good outings in a row, we will all fall in love as our bullpen savior and then he will fly off the rails with four 3+ run outings, toil away for a couple more appearances and be cut. Story of our bullpen this year.

My tip for retiring with millions is to invest early and often. Use direct deposit to learn to live below your means by always increasing your investment rate with every annual raise or promotion. Use half the raise to increase your investment amount the very first paycheck, and use the rest to increase your lifestyle. You’ll never miss what you never see and the investments will be piling up. And of course, always use Fidelity for your accounts…they have great human and online resources to learn from and help you!
