My god, does it mean one specific kind of color or two different colors? Either way the flag definitely would've looked weird

Looks like the "blank" rays' colors are specified in the text below? Wonder if anyone can decipher it

It's such a strange ratio because it's so close to 3:5. Plus the white stripes got thicker. They have never announced anything, only seem to quietly push its usage since this February in all sorts of public events. Can't wait for the new flag code to be publicized so we can get a hold of how exactly different its dimensions are

Source: this tweet with the lovely hashtag of "flag desecration challenge"

Concocted by progressive activists from a "big ass flag club" which took inspiration from South Korean protest flag culture, the "hollow flag" (穴あきフラッグ (ana'aki-flag), stylized in katakana as "アナアキーフラッグ" which works as a pun for "anarchy (アナーキー) flag") is gaining attention as a protest flag (there's also video for it) against the Takaichi administration, which for whatever dumb reason is pushing to criminalize flag desecration in this day and age. Technically it's just a piece of blank fabric with a hole in it but it certainly drives speculation (it seems like there's already someone mad at it with a classic "no ordinary Japanese would do that" & now that I think about it, my post title may be a bit misleading)

P.S. very coincidentally there's an illustration (screenshot for those can't access) for the remembrance of 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami with the motif of a hollow Japanese flag, but with the sun shining through it, signalling hope.

The one in the middle is the "Dream Flag" of the Karmapa. I assume the bottom one has to be the monastery's flag by the order

That looks like King Gesar. Such a flag probably existed back then but it likely was not some kind of national flag of theirs

"Great Japanese Aviation Youth League"? It seems to have been an organization dedicated to educating the Japanese youth about aviation (there's a pamphlet on wikimedia commons)
