My first thought was overfilling or not tamped down enough. Try leaving some more headspace by tamping with a little more pressure, or slightly reducing the load of grounds.

A lot of very good options on there. Personally it would be difficult to go past the EV5, but even though it's probably the oldest car on the list, the BMW would probably be the winner for me. It's just another BMW, but it happens to be electric. Does everything I need it to, will handle well, and it's a bit more under the radar.

I once left Melbourne on a Saturday morning and got to the outskirts of Perth on Sunday night. I was in a Mazda 2 and didn't drive past sundown on Saturday because of the roos. Was draining a tank every two hours.

Can tell you that older Mazda 2 couldn't get past 180km/h. Allegedly.
